The faint scent of roasted hops and grains permeates the walls of the wood-paneled shop, the burlap bags of wheat and barley framing a series of iron-forged racks set snugly against the back wall. Bright-colored leather flags drape across the fine-grained crossbeams, their crests and insignias stitched in metallic threading and tasseled in tonal silk. Set upon the well-oiled dark walnut counter is a pair of carved creatures, the diminutive toad and porcupine sitting on a stack of tiny kegs.
