Warm and dimly lit, the small store smells of fresh baked breads, fragrant herbs, and a hint of firewood. The cobblestone walls support a series of floor-to-ceiling shelves along the windowless eastern side, the well-made structures spanning the entire space, while a stucco and brick corner fireplace is opposite. Mosaic tiles surround the fireplace in an expanding ring that invades the hardwood floors. Occupying the center of the space, a broad brick red barn door table is laden with the shop's offerings. You also see a crooked storage room door.

On the brick red table you see: a crusty herb and tomato flatbread, an herb-riddled sausage and apple stuffing, a lime and garlic-infused salmon, a loaf of onion-infused mushroom and garlic bread, and a creamy leek soup riddled with potato dumplings.

Cooler air settles within the windowless storage room, rich with the dry scents of burlap, flour dust, and seasoned pine. Stout cobblestone walls create three sturdy walls, each holding deep cedar bins piled with winter root vegetables and heavy stoneware crocks sealed in wax. Rough-hewn timber racks line the far corners, bowed beneath crates of dried herbs and jars of preserved fruits. Near a dark-stained oak and pine hutch, braided bundles of wild onions, garlic, and dried sweetgrass hang from iron ceiling hooks.
