The [[Ruined Tower]] lies north of River's Rest across from the [[Maelstrom Bay]]. This tower was damaged during the [[Great Cataclysm]]. In addition, this tower was once the home of the wizard [[Kiergaunt Pandarre]], a student of the elemental planes. Now, however, it is a fearsome ruin full of lizard creatures called [[Hisskra]] and watery elemental creatures called [[Water wyrd|water wyrds]]. |

There are two entrances to the tower from Maelstrom Bay. To climb up the path after [[swimming]] or [[Water Walking (112)|walking]] across the Bay requires approximately 15 ranks of [[climbing]] skill. Those without climbing skill can swim downwards and come in through an opening in the dungeon. |

It is not possible to use a [[gold ring]] to leave the area, but it is possible to get their via magical means. |
