While the origins of high steel are lost to time, the lineage of low steel is no mystery. Corrupted examples of high steel are referred to as low steel after they are warped into their new purpose.
Low steel also carries a natural 6x enchantment (+30) and has a unique flare that provides both concussion damage and a deleterious side effect for the recipient.
Low steel can not be used by adventurers under level 100.
For reasons that will become clear with research, forging armor from low steel is not advisable.
