Dark Lullabies and Ghost Children?

15 Olaesta:

Words linger in the air, stirring something within you, "Come now ye children, I'll whisk thee away... into a state of enchantment."

Floating on a melody of despair, a sense of urgency dwells within, "Come now ye children, The times come to play... with my tools of disfigurement."

The soft tinkling of a music note accompanies the dark lullaby, "Follow sweet children, I'll show thee the way... Through all our pain come tomorrow."

The words twist, though the melody remains. You are able to resist the siren-like appeal, though it requires effort. "Weep now poor children, Your life ends this way... Murdering beauty, drinking sorrow."

A desperate voice cries out into the night, "Geldrin, you come back here right now! Don't you walk away! Henton! Henton! I can't find our boy!" Her words are drowned out by another verse of the lullabye..."Hush now dear children, It must be this way... Lay down your strife theres no need to weep."

A glassy-eyed elven child gasps.

A glassy-eyed elven child says, "She's mad...."

A glassy-eyed elven child says, "You shouldn't have interfered...."

Come now, ye children, the time's come to play.

16 Olaesta:

A troubling song whispers through the air, catching the attention of the three gathered in Landing’s town square.

>Words linger in the air, stirring something within you, "Come now ye children, I'll whisk thee away... into a state of enchantment."

Lirith tips her head up, frowning as she folds her arms over her chest. She pointedly suggests, “Whoever you are, you may come out now.”

>Floating on a melody of despair, a sense of urgency dwells within, "Come now ye children, The times come to play... with my tools of disfigurement."

Delieta says, "Huh?? I dozed off for a sec..."
Eirenaios shifts his weight.
Delieta says, "Oh...that weird singing again..."
Eirenaios echoes, "Again?"
Delieta says, "Heard it last night?? Or maybe it was the night before..."
You ask, "Did anything happen the first time?"
Delieta says, "Not that I'm aware of..."

A strangely glassy-eyed child arrives and begins wandering toward the north gate and then south outside the town’s walls. The trio follows her, trying in vain to rouse her from her trance.

A glassy-eyed elven child says, "You should go see Granny... she has such wonderful treats and songs...."

Delieta asks, "The hell is she going...??"
A glassy-eyed elven child gasps.
A glassy-eyed elven child says, "She's mad...."
A glassy-eyed elven child says, "You shouldn't have interfered...."

Out of thin air, a shadowy figure takes shape before your eyes and materializes into a young ghost child!

Later, after some short fighting, the song winds its way through the Voln courtyard nearest Landing.

> As if to conclude the song, the final notes and verse of the lullaby echoes through the night, "Rest now my children, For soon we'll away... Exit this life and enter sweet sleep."

Then the otherwise still night is disturbed by a shrill cackle and a terrified scream.

Lirith recoils in surprise as a matronly-looking ghost rises out of the ground and rushes at Idun, who promptly vanishes within her embrace.

Unable to find a trace of Idun, the three fear for her safety.
