By the way, if this Talk page is not an appropriate place for such a discussion, would someone please let me know. I brought it up here, because we already know Survival skill has a lot to do with ice walking, but if Physical Fitness has anything to do with ice walking, then I'd like to be sure we note it... eventually... if it can be confirmed. Thanks for chiming in. -Soliere [[User:FIRENSIA|FIRENSIA]] ([[User talk:FIRENSIA|talk]]) 22:25, 31 August 2019 (CDT) |

Recently on a capped character that NEVER falls on the Icemule Trail... I did a fixskills... I did not reduce the Survival ranks at all (which is what you normally thinks governs your success on ice, along with your level) so still have 101 ranks survival... but after redoing the skills... now the character falls on the ice with RT! The main thing I can see that may have affected the ice movement outcome, would have to be Physical Fitness because I lowered that considerably, from 172 ranks down to 101 ranks. Any thoughts? -Soliere FIRENSIA (talk) 23:16, 30 August 2019 (CDT)
Did your encumbrance level change? CLUNK24963
It changed for the better, one reason for the fixskills was to switch things up a little and do some hunting (rather than locksmithing only). So right before the fixskills, I had just reduced my encumbrance from Heavy to Unencumbered. With the prior Heavy encumbrance, the character never fell. Now Unencumbered, the character is falling. I'm going to try to spend some time in the next week testing things, I can't afford to do a whole bunch of fixskills, but perhaps I can at least make a record of just how often the character is falling now (versus the almost "never falling" prior to the fixskills). In May when we get the annual fixskills, it will be interesting to change the Physical Fitness back to 172 ranks and see if this fixes the problem. Any other thoughts/input would be most appreciated in the meantime. -Soliere FIRENSIA (talk) 22:18, 31 August 2019 (CDT)
