The GIRD verb serves to quickly ready equipment in the right and left hand, based on the READY verb settings the player has chosen.

Please note: This populates with HELP GIRD only.

Usage:
GIRD           - Readies both a weapon and shield or a weapon and a second weapon

You remove a small shield emblazoned with a golden key from in your leather backpack.
