PROFILE Type System System Character mechanics

The PROFILE verb is an out-of-character tool used to share information about your character with others. Profiles can be as short as Name, Race, and Gender; everything else can be toggled (see below). Title can be toggled via the TITLE verb.

Usage:
    PROFILE {player}        - View a player's profile
    PROFILE TOGGLE {option} - Toggle display of {option}
    PROFILE CLEAR {option}  - Clear value related to {option}, if appropriate
    PROFILE SET VICTORY     - Sets Proudest Victory to current Strongest Foe
    PROFILE FULL            - View your profile with all settings active
    PROFILE QUOTE {quote}   - Set your profile quote to {quote}
    PROFILE QUOTE CLEAR     - Clear your profile quote
    PROFILE INFORMATION     - Display your current settings

Where {option} is one of the following:
    AGE        CITIZENSHIP   CULTURE   DEITY
    FEATURES   FOE           GROUP     GUILD
    HOUSE      LEVEL         LOCK      SOCIETY
    TRAP       MHO           WARCAMP   ATTUNE
    VICTORY

GROUP may optionally be followed by one of the following:
    ADVENTURER'S GUILD
    GUILD
    HUNTING
    ROLEPLAYING
    SOCIETY

Birthday is toggled along with age, if chosen.
FOE will display the toughest opponent (measured by level) that you have defeated.
Only values associated with FOE, LOCK, and TRAP may be cleared.
Your character's quote is as subject to policy as anything else.  Keep it clean.  Failure to do so can result in a warning and having no further access to your profile.

PROFILE {player} can be used to view another character's profile information.

TOGGLE

PROFILE TOGGLE {option} allows one to toggle a visible profile element from view.

Messaging Example

>profile toggle age
Your age will now be displayed as part of your profile.

>profile toggle age
Your age will no longer be displayed in your profile.

CLEAR

PROFILE CLEAR {option} will clear an applicable option from the profile. This will only apply to options handled directly within PROFILE, such as Foe or Victory.

Messaging Example

>profile clear foe
You are attempting to clear your strongest foe vanquished.  Type PROFILE CLEAR FOE CONFIRM to confirm.

>PROFILE CLEAR FOE CONFIRM
Your strongest foe vanquished has been cleared.

SET VICTORY

PROFILE SET VICTORY will set one's proudest victory to their current strongest foe defeated.

Messaging Example

>PROFILE SET VICTORY
You are attempting to set your proudest victory to your current strongest foe vanquished (a shadow-encased being).  Type PROFILE SET VICTORY CONFIRM to confirm.

>PROFILE SET VICTORY CONFIRM
Your proudest victory has been set to your current strongest foe vanquished.

FULL

PROFILE FULL outputs one's full personal profile to themselves. For an example of output, see PROFILE {player}.

QUOTE

PROFILE QUOTE {quote} allows one to add a quote to their profile. PROFILE QUOTE CLEAR will clear the custom quote from the profile. Your character's quote is as subject to policy as anything else. Keep it clean. Failure to do so can result in a warning and having no further access to your profile.

INFORMATION

PROFILE INFORMATION outputs what may be displayed and how in one's profile.
