This appearance varies depending on how the wings are customized and is phrased identically for both Light and Dark wings.
The wing-shaped pin may be freely altered, but it must adhere to its energy setting. When worn, the pin will cause wings to emerge from its bearer's back as a temporary unique feature line, or temporarily replace the wings features for Aelotoi. These features may be customized, but the wings will always be feathered, and should also reflect the energy setting of the pin.

Energy Wings come in two different versions: light and dark. They provide mechanical benefits based on their attunement, and they can be unlocked twice. Energy Wings are pin-worn and appear in the unique feature line. They also have fluff messaging related to their attunement. When worn, they replace the unique feature line with:

This appearance varies depending on how the wings are customized and is phrased identically for both Light and Dark wings.

Aelotoi will have their wing description and trait replaced instead of their unique feature line.

Energy Wings debuted at the February 2026 Duskruin event. They were designed by GM Kenstrom and coded by GM Mestys. Both wings and unlock certificates are sold in Pinions and Pulse.

Light Wings

Tier 1

At Tier 1, Light Wings have access to the offensive Radiant Pulse and defensive Luminous Flight abilities. They also have four fluff verbs for messaging.
Radiant Pulse: Wings flex and fire a focused beam of light at your target! SMR attack, plasma damage, and stun effect. 1 minute cooldown. SMR strength increases with each Tier! Activated via TURN.
Luminous Flight: Temporary flight, ignoring height restrictions for attacks. Last 30 seconds with a 90 second cooldown. While active, grants +5% evade chance per Tier. Activated via TAP.

Blinding Reprisal: Wings launch a massive blinding light energy attack as an Area of Effect. Causes immolation damage, blindness, and can affect up to 10 targets. In addition, it will strip 1 spell from affected target. 5 minute cooldown. Activated via FOLD.
Wings of Warding: Wings expand outward, providing temporary protection for the player’s group. The character’s group will receive +25 DS, +15 TD, and +10 critical padding for 30 seconds. There is a 30 minute cooldown and effect can not be stacked with other wings. Activated via PUSH.

Shadow Mantle: Wings fold inward, cloaking the wearer in shadows. Grants +5 per Tier in Stalking and Hiding ranks with a 90 second cooldown. While active, it also grants a +5 evade chance per tier. Activated via TAP.

Tier 3

Fully unlocked Dark Wings gain the offensive Rain of Thorns and defensive Carrion Guard abilities. They also add two more fluff verbs for messaging.
Rain of Thorns: Wings launch a massive blinding dark energy attack. Disruption damage, plus both a poison and disease effect and blindness. May affect up to 10 targets. Can strip 1 spell from affected targets. 5 minute cooldown. Activated via FOLD.
Carrion Guard: The wings draw health from wounds happening to nearby players or creatures and will temporarily grant the wearer +10 Damage Resistance/Padding, 5 HP/regen ability and increase max HP by 100 for duration of ability. 60 second duration. 15 minute cooldown. Activated via PUSH.

Analyze

You analyze the wing-shaped pin and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
The wing-shaped pin may be freely altered, but it must adhere to its energy setting.  When worn, the pin will cause wings to emerge from its bearer's back as a temporary unique feature line, or temporarily replace the wings features for Aelotoi. Additional Information

The success formula for these is only based on your level and the tier of the item. Standard enhancive limits apply. All of the offensive abilities are SMR.

All the cooldowns kick in on activation. The 90-second cooldown starts as soon as you activate.

Both wings cannot be worn at the same time, and having two sets of wings (Light and Dark) offers no additional mechanical benefit. Cooldown for all the abilities are item-based and player-based, so you won't benefit in that regard for having multiple.

Incompatible Items

Wings can be toggled to display or not via TOUCH. When displayed, they cannot be worn with any other item that would otherwise modify the feature slot they occupy. For non-aelotoi, anything that takes up the unique feature field will block the wings from being able to use the unique feature slot. See the list of unique feature line modifying items for items known to impact this feature slot.
