Gemstone codex

Gemstone Codices are one-time-use items that overwrite a property on one of your Gemstones with a new one via the Artificer.

Among the remains, you find a marble-lined runic codex chiseled with cerulean runes, which falls alongside your feet.

The runic codex contains the following property:

Property:    Vestige of Magic (Rank 1 of 3)
Rarity:      Common
Mnemonic:    vmagic
Description: You gain 1/1/2 Magical SMR Strength.  Reshape has no affect on this property.  You may equip any number of this property.  This property cannot be upgraded.

A Gemstone may be instilled with the codex's power by a sufficiently skilled artificer.  This process will erase another property on the Gemstone.

You note the telltale filaments of a greater binding shimmering around the runic codex.  You can sense that the codex is bound to you.
