Bound with a tanned and dried skin of uncertain origin, this is looped with thick, sinewy cords that hold its binding in place. Dark crimson-colored runes densely flow across its surface, raised slightly, as if the patterns were first scarred onto the codex's skin before the sanguine writing was further tattooed on. The codex's pages are thick with a tough, deckled edge that are also touched with a deep, void black ink.

Gemstone Codices are one-time-use items that overwrite a property on one of your Gemstones with a new one via the Artificer.

You must pay the 10m minimum fee to INSTILL them to overwrite another gemstone property on an existing gemstone.

Codices and codex properties instilled on a gemstone cannot be amplified by the artificer. You can only ask the artificer to WRITE you a new higher rank codex and pay again to INSTILL it over the existing gemstone property.
