The crowbill is classified as a blunt weapon that is a descendant of the pick. It is constructed with a spike or dagger-like blade set at a right angle to the haft. In addition to crushing damage, it is also a piercing weapon. The crowbill has a shorter roundtime compared to other blunt weapons, but the increase in speed is offset by its lower damage factors and AvDs versus more heavily armored defenders.
To be effective with the crowbill, the user must train in the blunt weapon skill.
