: My understanding of the forums discussions which occurred around the time of the spell's release is what I wrote in the article. It may not be articulated very well, as I struggled for quite some time to produce the text which I thought would best get the idea across. My interpretation was that there are two factors involved in the probability of successive strikes beyond the initial activation. First, the level of the spell cast directly affects the probability of any and all recasts, be it initial or eleventh. Secondly, each subsequent strike is exponentially less likely than the one which preceded it, in a diminishing returns fashion. Say what you will of these 'facts' relying upon my recollection of a forums discussion. Is this information on third and fourth recasts accurate? The spell description on Play.net seems to imply that third and fourth recasts only depend on the spell's level to be recast. Andy talk 02:53, 22 January 2007 (EST)

Recast probability
The article currently states:
The probability of recasts decreases exponentially as the level of attack spell increases. ... The chance for recasts is increased by training in Spiritual Lore, Summoning. The base probability for a second strike begins at 60% and is increased by 2% for every bonus corresponding to seed 1 of the summation chart (max 98% first recast at 190 ranks).
These cannot both be true. Is more information available on the recast formula?
