There are other official front ends, each with their benefits. The [[Wrayth]] front end is the current Windows environment front end, and includes additional scripting commands and other features not included in the Wizard. The [[Avalon]] front end was designed specifically for use with the Mac OS X platform. The Web Client front end is a light-weight front end that runs in most web browsers, but does not have many of the more advanced features of these other front ends. |

When you get to web page where you are asked to select which FE you want to use, simply click on the Download Software option, and follow the instructions on the web page. If you have Wrayth/Stormfront installed, create a new folder in the same direcotry called WizardFE. Default would be C:\Program Files (x86)\SIMU\ |

The web site will send a message to the Launcher to make sure that you have the latest version of the Wizard FE software. If you do not have the latest version, then it will be downloaded to you automatically at this time. You can cancel this download if you wish, but you will not be able to play using the Wizard FE until you have the latest version. If you are using Windows 95, then the launcher will automatically install the Wizard FE software. If you are using Windows 3.1 then the Launcher will attempt to install the software, but it may be unable to do so depending on your system configuration. If the launcher is unable to install the software, then follow the instructions that are on the web page for installing the Windows 3.1 version. |
|||
Once you have the latest version of the Wizard FE, it will automatically start up when you select the option to play using the Wizard FE. You do not have to start the program yourself. Simply click on the option that appears on the web page, and the Launcher will automatically start the Wizard FE for you. You cannot start the Wizard FE on your own. If you attempt to do so, you will get an error message and the Wizard will not start. The only way to start the Wizard FE is for the web page to tell the Launcher to start it. |
