Subject: Representing Zul Logoth: Jeweled Caverns
Garli will travel to Briarmoon Cove to share her finest wares all the way from Zul Logoth - gleaming jewels and jewelry to place them in! There will be a variety of items suitable for these jewels - rings, bracelets, anklets, pendants (sorry, no pinworns) - a wide selection to choose from. Off-the-shelf jewelry has one indentation available for a jewel.
Jewels for the jewelry will not be sold off-the-shelf, but instead, there will be piles available to "grab" (buy) a random jewel.
These "grabs" are randomized from all stats and skill ranks. The main (and least expensive) pile will be completely random. The other two piles are separated into magic/combat and utility. If you purchase a jewel from one of these two (more expensive) piles, you will only receive a jewel for a random trained skill - or, a stat. Jewels purchased from the more expensive piles are attuned, and jewels purchased from the main random pile are not. Attuned jewels that are placed into a jewelry item will convert the jewelry to an attuned status.
Jewels can be removed from the jewelry so that you can change them out, but there's a very small chance - upon any jewel removal - that the jewel will shatter.
Garli will be unlocking a limited number of jewelry items to Tier 2, and raffling a few Tier 3 jewelry pieces. Tier 3 raffles will be for new items, and upgrades for previous unlocks (to T3) will not be available at this festival.
>buy cushion You pass your promissory note to a dwarven clerk who makes a few notations on the note and returns it promptly with a grunt. You reach into the black velvet cushion and pull out a square white jewel. >analyze my jewel The creator has also provided the following information: This square white jewel is from the jewel piles originally seen at Briarmoon Cove 2016, and cannot be altered in any way. It can be placed inside one of the jewelry items from Jeweled Caverns. These can be identified by the merchant Garli's craft mark. This jewel, when placed into an appropriate jewelry item, will provide a bonus of 1 to Sorcerous Lore - Demonology Ranks. >glance You glance down to see a square white jewel in your right hand and a silver herringbone ring in your left hand. G>analyze my ring The creator has also provided the following information: Originally seen at Briarmoon Cove 2016, this ring may be altered but must remain a jewelry item with a flat surface. This item is currently Tier 1 of 3 tiers. (Number of jewel slots = tier.) Only Garli (or an approved merchant) may work on this ring, and further upgrades will be limited in scope. Current verbs: CLEAN (clear charges), PULL (remove jewel), RUB (select active jewel for removal). If you are holding a suitable jewel, you can PUSH JEWEL to insert it into an available indentation on the ring. Caution: There is a very small chance that the jewel will shatter when removed from the jewelry. Only one jewelry item of this script may be worn at the same time. On the initial jewelry purchase, it will be charged for your first jewel insertion. After that, you will need to remove the charges before you can swap out jewels. Jewelry (with jewels) can be recharged at the Adventurer's Guild. >look my ring There is no jewel set into the silver ring's indentation. >push my jewel You place the square white jewel over a shallow indentation on the silver ring and push down with your fingertip. The jewel clicks firmly into place. >look my ring Seated firmly into the silver ring you see a square white jewel.
More teasers coming soon! Start planning early!
Please note: While similar in nature, this is not fusion. It is a completely different item and functions solely within its own script.

Subject: Garli's Jewel Piles explained!
In light of all the questions about the enhancive values on the jewels from the grab piles in Jeweled Caverns, I wanted to give you a table of information that you can use to see the minimum/maximum possible values for any of the stats/skills pulled from those piles. There is still an element of randomness in that you could get any number between the min/max, but it won't go above (or below) that value.
Let me know if you have additional questions and I'll do my best to answer them!
