To clarify, the old Provoke formula on the wiki and Estild's clarification post in 2016 were wrong. I coded 1235 which had its official documentation here: https://www.play.net/gs4/info/spells/spelllist.asp?circle=15#1235. I wasn't on staff when Estild made that post, so I couldn't correct it. The spell, in its original form, used Telepathy lore ranks/15 seed 1 summation. So that means the bonuses came at ranks 15, 45, 90, 150. Its boosted rates have now changed to 45, 90, 135, 180 with a new effect at 15 ranks to compensate. Every previous threshold that Monks trained to for Telepathy lore still have a bonus present now.

Provoke's (1235) lore benefits have been reworked. Starting at 15 ranks of Mental Lore - Telepathy, Provoke can affect insects and animals. Next at 45 ranks and every 45 ranks after that, it increases the number of extra creatures that the spell can generate. However, the extra creatures benefit is also restricted by the number of characters in the area (progressively more so the higher the bonus). At lower thresholds, if a Monk is solo or in a small group in a hunting area without others, they are not likely to notice any difference. In more populated hunting areas, depending on the time of day, there may be reduced effectiveness. The base spell without lore benefits is unaffected by this update.
