The Pig and Whistle is a food shop in Ta'Illistim. It is located on Aerie Way.

[The Pig and Whistle]
Fresh rushes have been strewn across the stone floor, laced with herbs that help to mask the smell of too many bodies pressed into such a small space. A fireplace in the side wall houses a small but cheery blaze, and polished wooden benches are scattered around the room. Along the rear wall of the tavern, an ornately carved maoral bar holds various barkeeping implements and an engraved silver placard. You also see a friendly barkeep.

Behind the Scenes

The Pig and Whistle was originally located on Glamesine Var, near the present-day Royal Arboretum. Only bards could access the tavern for the first year, via a loophole with Traveler's Song (1020). When it was fully opened in 5102, the Pig and Whistle had moved to its present location on Aerie Way. Featured in a Nations on the Brink short called The Hazards of Being Harold, Harold inherited the original (now shuttered) tavern on Glamesine Var from his mildly eccentric great aunt. Harold had been unsuccessfully renovating the structure for business and personal use at the time it was destroyed in 5123. Ownership of the current-day Pig and Whistle on Aerie Way is unclear.
