Black alloy is the result of attempts to tame urnon's unruly shape shifting ability without the need for wizardly intervention. Through the introduction of a curse, in the form of black ora, urnon's shape shifting ability can be neutralized and its form fixed into place. Fortunately, if properly blended, the resulting alloy retains urnon's ability to release corrosive acid during combat, making it ideal for smelters who cannot tame urnon in any other way. |
