The morning star is a combination of a mace and a ball and chain. The weapon is constructed of at least one ball which is attached to a haft by a metal chain. However, there may be more than one ball and chain utilized. In addition to hitpoint damage the morning star will also cause either crush or puncture critical damage and injuries.
Because it has both excellent damage factors and AvD values, the morning star is one of the most desireable and effective weapons of its class. To be proficient with the morning star it is strongly recommended that the user train in the blunt weapon skill.
Alternate Names
- spiked mace
- holy water sprinkler
