Mossbark trees generally grow within verdant hardwood forests. They are easily recognized by the shaggy bark covering bark and boles, and its smallish oblong leaves. The reaching branches of this mid-sized tree give it somewhat of a squarish shape. Mossbarks tend to grow in dense groves, where the masses of dangling moss add to the difficulty of traversing such terrain. It is thought that the mossbarks' moss has a role in its propagation, albeit a secondary one. Some magical powers are infused in the wood, making it a popular choice for some types of weaponry and such. Mossbark wood is light of hue, more so than pines and the like.
