Skin glue was first introduced on the Spitfire 2011 event by the merchant Tartingworth. With this glue one could adhere most normal gems to one's forehead. The glue came in four varieties:

  • a small glass vial of glue (1 dose) - 5,000 silvers
  • a thin blue tube of glue (5 doses) - 25,000 silvers
  • a type of rod
  • a small vial of shimmering blue glue (1 dose)

The three first types involves so-called regular glue - glue that will only last for a few hours at a time. There will be a warning message before the gem drops off. If one has an empty hand, the gem will fall into that. Otherwise it'll fall to the ground.

The rods have no limit to how many times they can be used. The shimmering blue glue is a superior type of glue, meaning that the gem will adhere till removed. The rods and the superior glue could not be bought by ordinary means.

The shopkeeper also taught skin glue recipes to some alchemists.

Commands:
Pour my glue on <gem>
Wear my <gem>

Behind the Scenes

Tartingworth's shop on the pirate vessel Spitfire:

[Vellum? Damn Near Killed 'Em!]
This small cabin is furnished with a pair of woven blue and white rugs that cover the planked flooring. A lacquered modwir bookshelf is pushed up against the starboard wall next to a glass wind lantern and a riveted brass port hole. Tiny scraps of vellum partially cover the discolored portions of the floor next to an ink-stained white oak desk. You also see a rectangular steel-framed mirror, a fluted black marble podium with some stuff on it and an iron-banded pale mistwood chest.

On the black marble podium you see a folded white vellum card, a small glass vial of glue and a thin blue tube of glue.

Card:
In the Common language, it reads:
Our amazing new glue is formulated to adhere to your skin!
You can adorn your face with bright, shiny gems with our wonderful glue!
Buy plenty.

The shopkeeper:
You see Lord Tartingworth Jampot the Third.
He appears to be a Halfling.
He is short and appears to be in his declining years. He has deep-set chestnut eyes and perfectly smooth fair skin. He has long, glossy fiery red hair worn in a single braid and tied with silvery leather strips. He has a round face, a small nose and a pair of pudgy cheeks to match his pot belly. He is in good shape.
He is holding a cloth-bound small leather tome embossed with small geometric patterns in his right hand. He is wearing a tall silver-banded hat with a golden eagle plume, a pair of gold and pearl cufflinks, a golvern-rimmed monocle on a thick silver chain, a dark blue velvet smoking jacket over a pressed white shirt with embroidered gold tracery along the collar, a pair of dark blue pleated cotton trousers, and a pair of highly polished black leather boots.
