Stance of the Mongoose is a combat maneuver available to Monks and Warriors.
Description
This is a Martial Stance. If the defender successfully parries an attack while in a forward or greater stance, he or she may launch an automatic retaliatory melee or unarmed strike at -2 RT. The chance to launch this retaliatory strike is 50/75/100% at ranks 1/2/3, and such strikes are limited to once every (6 - Rank) seconds.
Messaging
Starting:
>cman mong
You assume the Stance of the Mongoose, ready to retaliate instantly against your foes.
Monk assumes the Stance of the Mongoose.
Stopping:
>stop stance
You relax from the Stance of the Mongoose, no longer ready to retaliate instantly against your foes.
Monk relaxes and no longer maintains the Stance of the Mongoose.
