Thanks for chartifying the info I put up on AG escorts, I knew it could use one but don't know the markup for that, looks great. KANYDA 04:15, 11 May 2007 (EDT) |

Hi! In the Village Pump archive #6, there was a note on a script repository. Was that ever created? I have a few to add. KEIICHI13x <sup)talk |

Hey dude, had a request for the amount of metal required to make the weapons on the forging page. justin talk 02:17, 20 August 2006 (EDT)
It's not really necessary having plural and singular forms of an article name with redirects. The goes for alternate capitalization. (I'm using the Icemule herb articles as an example.) Generally we're only making redirects for articles with frequently used alternate names. CS -> Casting strength, TD -> Target defense, etc. Also, spell articles are named in the form Spell Name (Spell Number) and we have a both that runs through and created redirects for just Spell Name and just Spell Number. Re: Tribes and permission. Nope. As long as what you write about their tribes is in your own words, you can add all you want about them here. You can't copyright a concept or idea, only a particular expression of it. So, while you can't (without their permission) copy verbatim things written by them, you can write about them yourself all you want. Anshou 00:51, 14 January 2006 (CST)
People need to stop being so anal about 'their' things. They don't own the tribe, even if they came up with it. Personally, I say write about them. The more information we get in here for people to access, the better. Anshou 11:23, 14 January 2006 (CST)
Hey Divid, if you could, could you use the Mediawiki table layout instead of HTML tables? It looks quite a bit cleaner and is more accessible to the general public. The info on how to do it is at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Table and an example is at Armor. Ildran 19:22, 15 January 2006 (CST)
Creature Articles
Yo, creature names aren't proper nouns, and they're not capitalized anywhere in-game. The articles you changed were named correctly. (Tawny brindlecat vs. Tawny Brindlecat) I'm going to go through and fix them. Just wanted to let you know why. - Oliver (User | Talk) 15:11, 8 April 2006 (PDT)
- It's not a big deal. :) If you look at the beastiary on the GS website, you'll notice that all creatures are listed with lowercased names. There are some exceptions which contain proper nouns as a part of their names (such as Ithzir, Illoke, Neartofar, Agresh, etc.) but they are all evident either in the beastiary or in-game. In general, if there's a question of properness of a noun, spelling, or whatever, stick to what we see in-game. - Oliver (User | Talk) 15:54, 8 April 2006 (PDT)
Village Pump
Why did you edit the ongoing discussions under Tsoran's Maps? You completely screwed around the flow of the discussion. Oliver Talk 12:50, 13 December 2006 (EST)
Race Heights
The linking for the reference to the saved post is a good idea, only please don't take the Race Heights off the actual Race page. I was glad to see the chart was still on that main page as a lot of folks might like to have that info handy right off the bat. carabele 15:22, 30 December 2006 (EST)
RoundTime Charts
Truthfully I only put it there because I couldn't find a better place to put it, and couldn't find it elsewhere. Going back to look though, it should go on the melee combat page when that is started, as well as some of the information from the charts on the RoundTime Page, and a link added, as some of that information only applies to melee combat and not roundtime in general.
On the flip side of things, making rounds to pages I know, the thrown weapons page has incorrect Minimum RTs listed, assuming we are discussing actually throwing the weapons instead of using them in melee, as the two follow different rulesets. I believe you were the one that listed them, so I wanted to make sure that was the intent before I changed that?

- Hmm to be honest now that I am thinking about it, I am not sure a standard template will work very well for hurling, due to how the RT works, which uses a category based system as determined by strength primarily, and then RT is determined in that system by other factors(I don't really keep close track of it myself), but in the meantime I have updated those RTs, to reflect use when hurled, as the minimum for all of them is 3 seconds when thrown unaimed, I can check eventually, the only one that MIGHT be different is the net but I doubt it. I believe any weapon CAN be thrown in 3 seconds, but the problem is that getting the stats to enable it may be impossible.
- I actually have to look up the real mechanics before I post anything on it, gotta track down a copy of Glimmin's research on RT and Tep's FAQ as both of those cover the majority of topics that one might want to cover on the thrown weapon page.

Bot status
Hey, one of the updates to the Mediawiki software broke the bot. It's functioning again, though, and creating pages as I speak. - Ildran 12:13, 11 February 2007 (EST)
