It's weird that we have mangled these terms so much that we now have "hybrid" spanning all the other categories. I'm not sure what can be done about it, the Magic Guide is self-contradictory. For example: ''"Major Spell circles are the deepest and most powerful concepts common to each sphere of magic, and may be mastered only by pure or hybrid users from their respective spheres."'' It is a very old mistake, from a twenty-something year old book. It's just odd to me having "pure hybrids" and (especially) "non-spell user hybrids." Apparently, we use "pure" to mean "purely spell casters" now, while the original meaning of "spell caster of purely one sphere of magic" is what is used in the document. Sorry. The official "magic guide" on Play.net in the references section. For example: "Major Spell circles are the deepest and most powerful concepts common to each sphere of magic, and may be mastered only by pure or hybrid users from their respective spheres." It is a very old mistake, from a twenty-something year old book. It's just odd to me having "pure hybrids" and (especially) "non-spell user hybrids." Apparently, we use "pure" to mean "purely spell casters" now, while the original meaning of "spell caster of purely one sphere of magic" is what is used in the document.
