The proprietor is Jenkin.

Scribe, Front Room

[Scribe, Front Room] Room: 3014
The walls of Jenkin the Scrivener's office are honeycombed with scroll and book shelves, all empty. A thin layer of dust covers the room. An elegantly penned note hangs from the upper edge of a writing desk in the middle of the room. Through the archway north, a very large screw-like contraption can be seen.

A large wooden contraption takes up most of this room. It resembles a grape or clothes press, with a heavy chain and padlock preventing anyone from raising the upper part of the press. Beneath a workbench are several large wood blocks carved with words and pictures. On top of the workbench are several smaller blocks similarly carved.

The entire back wall of this utilitarian room is covered with wooden shelving to form a latticework of pigeonholes for mail. Each of the side walls holds a similar set of shelves, though the openings are larger, some almost ample enough to accommodate an average-sized dwarf. Separating the sparsely furnished reception area from the bustling activity of the mail center is a tall slate-topped counter. Smaller display cases topped with thick glass bracket the entryway. You also see a black wrought iron bench flecked with rust and a bleary-eyed clerk.
