Despite the best efforts of the pair of pierced iron braziers limning the entrance of this narrow alcove, shadows cling to the ironwood bookshelves tucked into its back corners. A brass-hinged footlocker, its padlock still closed but attached to a battered and dangling lockplate, stands opened and resting on its side near a small puddle of indeterminate origin.

The lorgnettes on top of the bookshelves are less ornate than the ones inside, but both function the same.

The shoes in the footlocker are good for throwing at people.  The darts are also good for throwing at people... and dartboards.

Absolutely none of the goods in this alcove were filched, stolen, or misappropriated.  It's not my fault if people leave their luggage lying around unattended for long or short periods of time.  They ought to know better!


If you find me in here, I might show you how to make the lorgnettes do more than they already do.
