Prismatic Guard (905)

Prismatic Guard is a defensive spell that causes multicolored rays to "shoot out of your body and flow into the shimmering sphere around you." It's selfcast so won't help non-wizards unless used from a magic item or scroll.

Factors Affecting Prismatic Guard

• Training in Wizard Base spells increases the duration of this spell, as well as the efficacy.

For each rank of Wizard Base spells known, the duration of the spell is extended by 30 seconds from its base 900 second duration.

If cast from a scroll the duration is the 900 second base time plus 30 seconds for each two ranks of Arcane Symbols.

If cast from a magic item the duration is calculated as found here.

For each rank of Wizard Base spells known, the effectiveness is increased by +1 for every 4 Wizard Base spell ranks known over 5. The mana cost also increases +1 for each 12 Wizard ranks known over 5.

Spell Usage

• INCANT or CAST at oneself.
• Self-cast only.
• Stackable.

This spell provides a +20(+additional) to bolt DS and +5(+bonus) to physical DS.
