The LEAN verb is used to LEAN in various directions, or LEAN ON in-game objects. The LEAN verb is a common trap used in item scripts.
Messaging

Usage: LEAN - Shifts your weight LEAN {self} - Shift your weight restlessly LEAN {target} - Leans against a target LEAN LEFT - Leans to the left LEAN RIGHT - Leans to the right LEAN FORWARD - Leans forward LEAN BACK - Leans back LEAN LHAND - Leans on what's in your left hand LEAN RHAND - Leans on what's in your right hand LEAN SET [OPTION] - Shows or sets the LEAN verb options available.

People targets: CATHEDRAL WEDDING - You lean on (target), resting your hand upon his/her shoulder. WAVEDANCER WEDDING - You lean against (target), bending your head to rest it gently against his/hers. STANDARD - You lean on (target).
Self target: You shift your weight, restlessly leaning back and forth.
Object targets: You lean against (object).
Creature targets: You lean toward (creature).
Styles: LEFT - You lean to your left. RIGHT - You lean to your right. FORWARD - You lean forward. BACK - You lean back. LHAND - You lean on your (object). RHAND - You lean on your (object).
