Lilybriscoe says, "Pretty much. It (the table leg collection) did set a bit of a precedent for odd town collections..."
"My favorite collection I think were Esserae's nails."
"Esserae was a wacky little sylvan bardess."
"She started a small collection of nails...wanted one of each kind, I think."
"People saw the delight she took in nails, and started giving her any they found."
"Sharp, rusty, and the like."
"She wasn't one to say no to a gift, so they started to accumulate."
"Soon she was lugging hundreds of pounds of nails around with her."
Lilybriscoe grins.
Lilybriscoe says, "She couldn't hunt, could hardly stand up to get a drink."
"Eventually, she handed the cloak to a visiting tailor and asked him if he "could do something with this." I think she thought he would empty the cloak so she could hunt again."
"Instead, he sewed each nail into her cloak."
Lilybriscoe grins.
Lilybriscoe says, "So if you see a sylvan wearing a cloak of many nails, say "Hi, Esserae! Welcome home!"
