Map Image At Risk For Deletion

Hello, USER. You recently uploaded a map image to the wiki, File:Moot Hall 5117.png, that appears to violate the Gswiki:Policy for Copyrights, specifically for Maps. Maps may only be uploaded by the original creator or, in certain circumstances, the editor who updated the map to account for new areas. There does not appear to be any statement on the map image to indicate that you have edited it or when. This is required for all map images that have been modified by someone other than the original map creator. I have flagged the map image for moderator review and deletion.

If this file is an original, unedited map image, it may only be uploaded by the original map creator. If you have made edits to the map, then you will need to indicate this per the copyright section on maps and reupload it with that text included both on the image itself as well as in the image file comments. If you need examples on how to do this, Gswiki:Style guide/Images has copy/paste code examples for different image types. If you need instructions on how to do each step, Help:Images goes into detail on how to edit image files and how to display them with captions on articles.

If an image file update is not added within 7 days, this image will be deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from the image. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for maps, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding. HOST-GSFAMINE (talk) 11:55, 26 June 2026 (CDT)

Images and Article Edits at Risk for Deletion

Hello, TWILSON. I am reaching out to you about two things.

First, you recently edited a character page article, Dirvy (prime), which was originally created and edited by another user. There is no indication anywhere that Dirvy's player gave you permission to create or edit a character page on their behalf. Gswiki:Policy prohibits users from creating or editing character pages unless the character is theirs or they have been given permission by that character's player to make those edits. If you do have permission to edit Dirvy's character page, you will need to indicate this by clearly stating it on its Discussion/Talk tab, Talk:Dirvy (prime), that you have been given permission to do so by her player. Alternatively, Dirvy's player can put that information on the discussion page. When adding that information, please make sure to add ~~~~ at the end of your comments, which will automatically add a "signature" with your user name, plus the date and time of when your edit was made.

Second, you recently uploaded an image to the wiki, File:Dirvy gencraft image.jpg, which is missing some required information. GSwiki now has a new policy for all images uploaded to it. Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about that policy and the requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. Images using AI software in their creation are also required to be included in Category:AI artwork Thank you for already noting that it was created using AI software. You will need to add who created the image and, if that person is not you, if you had permission to upload it to the wiki. This information will need to be noted both on the image file as well as any articles displaying it.

In all cases for the character page and the image, if the required information is not added within 7 days, the edits to the character page and the image will be deleted from the wiki. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:49, 17 October 2023 (CDT)
