The Keen Tracker vissi is a chimera vissi that is part of the vissi system. It must be placed inside an arcarium to function. As a singular vissi, it has the same effect no matter what type of arcarium houses it. Most move through the world as if asleep, unaware of the countless secrets that surround them. Tier 1The vissi has "Scan Surroundings" verb messaging for its activator verb, which can be set or changed via ATTEND.AnalyzeYou analyze the Keen Tracker vissi and sense that the creator has provided the following information: The Keen Tracker vissi can be added to a vissi artifact in order to augment the artifact with custom abilities. Each vissi artifact may hold up to 5 different types of vissi, and each vissi may be upgradable by adding additional vissi of the same type to the artifact. The Keen Tracker vissi is named Keen Tracker and it is a Chimera vissi. This vissi notes the following ability information: Go on the hunt, with help from your companion vissi. The vissi may have abilities you can activate by using certain verbs (RUB, TAP, PUSH, PULL, or POKE) on the vissi artifact you add them to. In order to set the activator, use ATTEND on the vissi. The vissi might not have an ability you may activate, in which case ATTEND will indicate that. Sometimes, a vissi may have multiple abilities you can activate with the activator verbs. You can TILT the vissi to switch between them. Tilt will not respond if the vissi has only a single ability (or no abilities at all). You may only have one ability active at a time. In addition, the vissi may have abilities with customizable messaging options. You can TURN the vissi to customize each set of options. Once on a set of options, you can TWIST the vissi to cycle through the available customizations. Finally, some vissi may contain ambient messaging, which you can toggle on or off with COVER. Tier 2The vissi offers customization of the Tier 1 verb messaging with pre-set options among the individual segments. Cycling through customization options is done via TURN and TWIST. Segment 1 options: study your surroundings (default) / carefully survey the area / remain motionless, observing every detail / scan the distance with practiced focus / trust your intuition to find a lead Segment 2 options: your elusive quarry (default) / any hidden nearby threats / your intended destination / any rare objects of value / anything that may be out of place Segment 3 options: your features set in a grim, silent scowl (default) / a faint, confident smirk playing on your lips / an air of quiet calm settling over you / your posture shifting back and forth restlessly / your brow furrowed in deep concentration Segment 4 options: Almost immediately, (default) / As if sensing your focus, / Before you can conclude your search, / A familiar presence stirs within your consciousness, and / You feel a faint pressure behind your eyes before Segment 5 options: the voice of your orb echoes in your head, saying, (default) / the dry, mocking tone of your orb rasps against your mind, saying, / the booming, ethereal presence of your orb fills your mind: / the calm, scholarly voice of your orb quietly declares, / a faint, melodic whisper from your orb shimmers in your mind: Segment 6 options: Hapless hunter, your goal eludes you. You can cycle between the Tier 1 and Tier 3 verb messaging sets via TILT. Only one of the available verb messaging sets can be active at a time. Requires 13 duplicates to upgrade from Tier 2 to Tier 3.Usage
Tier 4The vissi has "Scan the Ground" verb messaging as an alternate set of messaging for its activator verb, which can be set or changed via ATTEND. You can cycle between the Tier 1, Tier 3, and Tier 4 verb messaging sets via TILT. Only one of the available verb messaging sets can be active at a time. Requires 55 duplicates to upgrade from Tier 3 to Tier 4.Usage
Tier 5The vissi offers further customization of Tier 3 and Tier 4 verb messaging with pre-set options among the individual segments. Cycling through customization options is done via TURN and TWIST. Segment 6 additional options: Stay sharp. The hunt is long, but your instincts remain true. / It is gone... or perhaps it was never here at all. / Ha! Is this the best you can do? Look harder, or step aside! / There! No, there! Bah, make up your mind. I can't bear an indecisive partner. / I'd suggest you use your eyes, but we've seen how well that's working. Can we just call it a day? Segment 7 options: but you detect nothing out of the ordinary (default) / yet the atmosphere offers no clues to aid your progress / but the only odor you detect is the musky hint of body odor. And its source seems close.
