A glass bottle was awarded to those who finished a puzzle quest at the Spitfire 2011 event. This bottle can be used to send inter-realm messages twice per day. The bottle is attuned to the original owner.

LOOK/SHOW

Firmly stopped with a brass-colored cork, the bottle is crafted with a long neck, its glass so clear that you are able to peer through it to the inside. Within, the bottle is halfway full of water. Floating atop the makeshift ocean is a miniature ship, the tiny brown planks of its bow painted with "The Spitfire" in stylish lettering. Every detail -- from the ship's tidy white sails to the miniscule captain's wheel to the tart over crossed bones on every insignia -- is perfectly formed. Completing the handily crafted contraption, small halfling sailor figurines tromp back and forth on and within the ship, their movements obviously mechanized. Something appears to be scratched into the bottom of the bottle.

Analyze

You analyze your glass bottle and sense that there is no recorded information on that item. It may or may not be able to be worked on by a merchant alterer.

Verb Traps

VERB FIRST THIRD
EAT You open your mouth to eat your bottle, but you stop when you realize that it won't fit into your mouth very neatly. You're also pretty certain you heard screaming sounds coming from inside of it. XXX opens her mouth to eat bottle, but seems to think better of it.
LICK You bring your bottle up to your mouth and lick it, leaving slobbery marks all over the outside of the glass. Inside of it, the figurines make gestures indicating their complete disgust with you. XXX brings her bottle up to her mouth and licks it, leaving slobbery marks all over the outside of the glass.

POKE A quick prod at the bottle sends the ship inside flying back against the glass at the back. It shudders delicately as it comes to an abrupt halt before drifting forward slowly until it is once again floating in the center of the bottle. As it moves into place, the figurines inside of it jump up and down, their mouths opening and closing in silent jeers. XXX pokes and prods her bottle.
RUB You rub your bottle, and the small figures inside of it peer upward. Several of them scowl at you, but most of them just smile with amusement, and then they all go back to their ship's chores. XXX rubs her fingers over her bottle.
SHAKE As you shake the bottle, the figurines aboard cringe all at once as they go flying off of the ship and into the water. Slowly but surely, they clamber back aboard the ship, each one throwing a fierce glare up at you. XXX gives her bottle a quick shake.
TAP See Message Sending.
TILT You tilt the bottle back-and-forth, causing the ship inside of it to rock with the motions. The water swishes up against the sides of the boat, and the figurines inside alternatively loosen and tighten the sails. XXX tilts her bottle back-and-forth, watching it intently.
TURN As you turn your bottle from one side to another, the water inside swishes back-and-forth, creating a miniature storm around the ship. You see the figures on the ship hanging on to anything they can grasp in attempt to not fall overboard. XXX turns her bottle from one side to another.
WAVE Holding your bottle up in the air, you wave it violently, flipping the ship inside of it over several times. When you bring your bottle back down, the figurines inside of it slowly climb their way back on to the vessel, then turn to wave their fists at you in what can only be enraged anger. Holding her bottle up in the air, XXX waves it violently.
