Origami Kits
Part of the new origami system, origami kits can hold origami accoutrements inside (currently limited to paper and writing implements). In addition, there are three (3) storage slots for stacks of paper. Paper using the storage slots will unlock to the same tier level the kit is unlocked to, opening up fluff verbs to add zestiness.
Using the Kits
- You have 3 slots to store paper in via PUSH. Each slot holds up to 500 sheets (and you can use paper unlock certs to add more sheets to the selected slot). Only exactly alike paper can be added to a slot with paper in it already.
- You can PUT/DROP items inside the case like normal. However, it will only hold origami-related items (currently limited to the paper or writing implements that can be used on the paper)
Utility Verbs:
- PUSH: Adds paper to 1 of the 3 slots
- PLUCK: Removes 1 sheet of paper from the selected stored paper slot
- PULL: Removes 1 stack of paper from the selected stored paper slot, clearing this slot out
- TWIST: Rotates through the 3 paper slots
- LOOK IN: In addition to normal functionality, it will show any stored items
Fluff Verbs:
- T1 - None, this is OTS, utility verbs only
- T2 - poke and prod
- T3 - attend, tickle, brush, poke, and prod
- T4 - cover, fidget, touch, attend, tickle, brush, poke, and prod
- T5 - clench, eat, flip, cover, fidget, touch, attend, tickle, brush, poke, and prod
Unlocking the Kits
- Paper placed inside the container does not take up one of the 3 special slots. It's just sitting in there like a normal container
- You can unlock the kit from Tiers 2-5 using certs at RW.
- Paper stored via PUSH will be unlocked to the same tier as the kit
- Paper of a higher tier will have its tier lowered, so there is a CONFIRM message if you try to do that
- Unlocking a kit to T2 will bind the kit to the account doing the unlocking
- Paper PUSHed into an unlocked kit will also be bound to the account if PULLed out in a stack. Individual sheets PLUCKed out will not be bound. They cannot be combined with other paper, however, and must remain as an individual sheet.
- There is a warning and a CONFIRM option, so it shouldn't take you by surprise
Alterations
- No lightening or deepening
- Must remain a sturdy, smallish container. Base, long, and shows are all acceptable
- Note that most merchants will not do a base, long, and show in one sitting
- There is a base LOOK included, and it will append to any show added.
- This indicates there is a dial, gear, and lever on the kit and interior dividers
- Material must be very sturdy leather, wood, or metal. No cloth or supple suedes/leather descriptions.
- All rules for rare/special materials apply.
- Custom settings:
- Material
- Interior dividers
- Dial
- Gear
- Lever
- It is considered 1 alter to do a normal alteration + the 5 custom fields
- Examples: polished haon, carved ivory, rose gold, etched brass, and tarnished silver
