Creature egg/bolus

One of the pets that hatch from the eggs, boluses are uniquely shaped creatures that distribute a stick of red wax once every four days when PINCHed that can be used for writing.

LOOK

Really just an attractively shaped, pretty colored, eight-sided lump, this bolus might be the result if Koar decided to breathe life into a tiny unicorn turd - although the hand-ended legs suggest Zelia's work.  Aside from the faceting and the legs, the bolus resembles a hen's egg in general size and shape and lacks any other variations in its surface that might indicate a back or a front.
