Note that there is a small but vocal minority of players--and at least one GameMaster who came from the Bardic ranks--who feel that the name of this spell lacks, well, just about everything.

Since players are likely to use a name--that they hear and like--in the face of the actual name of the spell (for example, "Alkar" versus "Lesser Shroud" or "Word of Return" [also, "WoR"] versus "Spirit Guide") there is hope for having something more suitable impressed in the minds of the populace.

As such, there is a groundswell of support for the usage of "Banshee's Wail" for the name of this spell; certainly that name is used by at least one prolific Board poster.
