Log

Introductions: Lylia, Cruxophim, Raelee, Shinann, Wolfloner, Xorus

[Helga's, Dining Hall]

Tinted glass oil lamps hang from iron sconces, casting a dim glow over the smoke-stained walls of the low-ceilinged room. Several tables and an oaken sideboard, bearing traces of the previous day's meals, are flanked by a long wooden bench and a few smaller chairs. A leaded glass window, its dusty panes half-covered by filmy curtains, looks out on the dark street, and a brick hearth smolders against the north wall.

Also here: High Lord Talinvor, Bernadette, Marshal Meureii, Tolida, Binnybog, Kipara, Maiden Balley, Zosopage, Rioja, Lord Ferrumus, Lord Gorku, Chaoswynd, Severine, Hapenlok, Ysharra, Eiliriel, Melikor, Rhayveign, Cruxophim, Lady Alasatia, Lord Xorus, Mayor Lylia, Lord Evician who is sitting on a wooden chair, Yukito, Shinann, Lady Lornieh, Magister Raelee, Conquerer of Reim Wolfloner, Savageheart, Lady Luxelle, High Lord Bjornsong, Grand Lady Roelaren who is kneeling, Aurourra

You recite:

"Good evening and welcome to tonight's Town Hall meeting discussing topical events in the Landing--past, present, or even expected future!"

Cruxophim raises his blood wine in a toast!

You recite:

"I'm Leafi, your host on behalf of the TownCrier, and I'm pleased to tell you that tonight is this month's Open Stage Night! That means no coverage of recent news at the beginning and only the briefest of introductions so that we can jump ahead to your questions!"

You add, "Which also means I have an easier job than usual." [...Leafi said, then wound up jumping in as host to prompt the panelists with followups or clarifications on nearly every question]

You flash a quick grin.

Lylia smiles at Raelee.

You recite:

"Let's meet the Town Hall team without further ado--first please give a warm welcome to our moderator, TownCrier founder Miss Luxelle!"

You turn to face Luxelle.

Cruxophim applauds Luxelle warmly.

You applaud Luxelle.

Severine applauds.

Lornieh applauds Luxelle.

Bjornsong applauds Luxelle.

You recite:

"When you have a question for one of our panelists, simply RAISE your HAND. Miss Luxie will add you to the queue, give instructions, and later tell you when you have the floor."

Luxelle curtsies gracefully.

Luxelle takes off an iridescent nightingale charm.

You earnestly say, "She is amazing at keeping people in line, among her many other talents."

Cruxophim kisses Severine tenderly on the cheek.

Luxelle put an iridescent nightingale charm in her satin circle cape.

You nod firmly.

Lylia gazes fondly at Luxelle.

Luxelle sits down.

Cruxophim chuckles to himself.

Severine smiles at Cruxophim.

Cruxophim takes a drink from his blood wine.

Luxelle chuckles.

You recite:

"And just who -are- our panelists? Tonight, please welcome Mayor Lylia, former Mayor Cruxophim, Magister Raelee, Captain Shinann, Landing veteran Wolfloner, and Mayoral Advisor Xorus!"

You applaud.

Lylia nods graciously.

Roelaren applauds.

Bjornsong waves.

Lornieh applauds.

Hapenlok draws his hands together in a slow, deliberate clap.

Cruxophim pats the base of one palm lightly with the fingers of his other hand.

You recite:

"When you have a question, you may ask it to any one, two, or three panelists of your choosing--or simply ask your question openly and our panelists will decide who answers."

You recite:

"Please note that panelists may pass on answering a question even if asked, and likewise may volunteer an answer even if not asked!"

You take a deep breath.

You recite:

"And with that said... we're now open to questions!"

You nod once.

Luxelle says, "Raise your hand to join the question queue."

You nod at Luxelle.

Luxelle casually observes her surroundings.

With deft motions, Lylia fans herself with her open black feather fan.

A striped owl suddenly releases an ear-piercing shriek!

Luxelle blinks at a striped owl.

You mention, "Incidentally... this has only happened a few times before, but our panelists too are welcome to ask questions."

Speaking softly to Luxelle, Chaoswynd says, "Apologies."

Cruxophim grins at Chaoswynd.

Cruxophim strokes the owl, rubbing his feathers gently.

You glance appraisingly around the room.

You give your eyebrow a little workout.

Cruxophim rubs the lioness, scratching her behind the ears.

A snow white raven glides in and makes a perfect landing.

Zosopage's group just arrived.

Lylia nods at Xorus.

Cruxophim strokes the raven, rubbing her feathers gently.

You hug Balley, who wraps you in a warm embrace.

Question #1, From Lornieh, Answered By Lylia: One Price, One Landing

Lornieh raises her hand.

Luxelle nods at Lornieh.

Balley hugs Cruxophim, who wraps her in a warm embrace.

You grin at Lornieh.

Cruxophim hugs Balley, who wraps him in a warm embrace.

Lylia waves to Balley.

Balley hugs Shinann.

Balley hugs Lylia.

Lylia smiles at Zosopage.

Zosopage gives you a friendly hug.

Shinann smiles at Balley.

You give Zosopage a friendly hug.

Zosopage waves to Lylia.

Balley turns to give you a quick smooch, and you tilt your head slightly, giving her a warm buss on the lips.

Cruxophim gives Balley a strong, encouraging smile.

Cruxophim leans on Evician, giving him a companionable grin.

Zosopage leans on Cruxophim.

Cruxophim grins at Zosopage.

Cruxophim kisses Zosopage tenderly on the cheek.

Luxelle says, "So our first question, and to the newly arrived, remember all you need to do is raise your hand to join the question queue."

Cruxophim chuckles.

Luxelle says, "Lornieh has the floor for the next question."

Luxelle nods at Lornieh.

Shinann folds her hands behind her back.

Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Lornieh.

You tilt your head slightly toward Lornieh, noting the subtle changes in her muscles and breathing.

You give Lornieh a strong, encouraging smile.

Speaking to Lylia, Lornieh asks, "My question is to Mayor Lylia.... how is it going with the One Price, One Landing and when can we expect to see equal prices for all?"

Lylia says, "I am so glad you asked."

You take a moment to observe everything you can about Lylia.

Lornieh's concentration shifts and becomes more focused as she slightly tilts an ear in a particular direction.

Lylia says, "I had hopes of accomplishing this aim quickly and easily, but after reading a response from Stephos --"

You cock your head.

Lylia corrects, "Lord Stephos deArchon..."

Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Lylia.

Lylia sets her mouth in a thin line of disapproval.

Kipara just strode in.

Cruxophim chuckles to himself.

Lylia says, "It seems we may be farther from reaching an accord on this matter than I had hoped."

Kipara hugs Cruxophim.

Cruxophim gives Kipara a friendly hug.

Kipara bows to Lylia.

Lylia says, "This is where I hope all of you can make your voices heard, too."

Lylia smiles at the assembled crowd.

Cruxophim loudly chants, "One Landing, One Price!"

Cruxophim raises his articulated gauntlets heavenward in triumph.

Lylia says, "I can speak to each merchant, but mine is only one voice -- albeit a clear and forceful one."

Lylia nods emphatically at Cruxophim!

Lylia says, "So I encourage you, make your voices heard too. Speak up. Write letters. Paint placards."

Lornieh asks, "Well, I'm not certain you're at liberty to say, but what was Stephos' reaction?"

Lylia nods encouragingly.

You confusedly say, "Stephos too is only one voice, is he not? Could you elaborate at all what he--"

You nod at Lornieh.

Lylia says, "Ah, yes. I should mention that."

Lornieh grins.

Lylia chuckles.

You grin at Lylia.

[whispered discussion over whether our characters know what Stephos' letter said or if it was private correspondence]

Lylia says, "He fell back on the notion of 'tradition,' one that would be slow to change. In other words, he rejected the idea. I left his missive on the bulletin board outside Moot Hall, if anyone cares to read it."

You nod understandingly at Lylia.

Lornieh nods slowly at Lylia.

Lornieh mutters something about tradition.

Lornieh glances up.

Lylia says, "I want to make these matters public as they affect us all."

Cruxophim nods understandingly at Lylia.

Lylia pointedly says, "Some more than others."

Lylia narrows her eyes.

Speaking amicably to Lylia, Cruxophim praises, "Very good of you."

Lylia says, "So, as for when it may happen, I could not say. But I encourage all of you to make yourselves heard too."

Lylia inclines her head.

Speaking amusedly to Lylia, Cruxophim remarks, "Transparency... the proper kind, not the Dennet kind."

Cruxophim snickers.

Lornieh giggles at Cruxophim.

Lylia begins chuckling at Cruxophim!

Cruxophim nods in agreement at Lylia.

You musingly say, "Many in the Landing care little about tradition--we openly defy the traditions of many other places and flaunt our differences. A shame to hear it from Stephos."

You add, "But not a surprise."

You shake your head.

Shinann smiles at Tolida.

You give Tolida a strong, encouraging smile.

Lylia mildly says, "I did remind him that, being older than the town, I am also older than its 'traditions.'."

Tolida grins at Shinann.

Lylia looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Speaking wryly to you, Cruxophim speculates, "I think it's far less tradition, and more convenient bigotry."

Lylia nods at Shinann.

Cruxophim nods at Luxelle.

Luxelle says, "Or, justified .... extra profits."

Speaking thoughtfully to Cruxophim, you say, "I don't know that I'd expect bigotry from Stephos, but certainly... some other agenda. Not what he says."

You nod at Cruxophim.

Xorus says, "Stephos I suspect is flexing some muscle, rather amusingly given their history in Idolone."

Lylia nods in agreement at Xorus.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Xorus!

Cruxophim nods at Xorus.

You nod at Xorus.

You nod faintly at Hapenlok.

Lylia says, "I may have reminded him of this in my reply."

Speaking to Xorus, Ysharra asks, "Run out, weren't they?"

Xorus says, "Yes."

Speaking to Ysharra, Lylia says, "Yes. Another 'tradition.'."

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "I liked your postscript."

Interlude: Crux's Bulletin Board Announcement

You mention, "Before we move on to any further questions--and right now we have none, so please feel free to join the line--we have a brief announcement from our previous mayor."

Lylia smiles at Ysharra.

You grin at Cruxophim.

Hapenlok mutters, "Far as I'm concerned, his wife's the only reason he hasn't been dealt with. Permanently."

You turn to face Cruxophim.

Lylia gazes with interest at Cruxophim.

You grin slowly at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim amicably announces, "I wanted to remind everyone of the blackboard outside the Mayor's office in Moot Hall. Feel free to use that to leave messages for the esteemed Mayor, should you have any ideas or wish to schedule an appointment."

Cruxophim amicably continues, "Furthermore, for more public use there is now a bulletin board OUTSIDE Moot Hall."

Shinann folds her hands behind her back.

Cruxophim amicably continues, "You can use this to post your events and other activities, to help keep others in our town informed of what's happening."

You nod approvingly at Cruxophim.

Luxelle beams!

Lylia nods.

Cruxophim amicably adds, "And of course, check on it to see what's up and coming!"

Luxelle asks, "We could draw flowers on it?"

Luxelle raises an eyebrow in Cruxophim's direction.

Kipara says, "As a human I can't say I have to deal with much discrimination in Wehnimer's, but I don't think the issue of discrimination with prices is one that should be enforced by law, but if, as a community, we come together to share joy and culture we might persuade others to do the same."

Cruxophim amicably explains, "Our honorable Houses, meeting hall organizations, weddings... anything coming up of note, feel free to post there."

Cruxophim amusedly adds, "Instead of the tree in Town Square, if you prefer."

Cruxophim chuckles.

Lylia nods in agreement at Kipara.

Speaking amusedly to Luxelle, Cruxophim says, "If you'd like, but they might be erased eventually."

Cruxophim nods at Kipara.

Cruxophim amicably concludes, "That's all, just wanted to inform any who weren't aware of those two options!"

Speaking to Kipara, Lylia says, "I agree with the notion of shared culture, yes -- but I would disagree with the notion that our laws should not protect some of us from paying more. This is, perhaps, a debate for another time."

You mention, "And the TownCrier, of course, will also always do its best to publicize your organization's events--if you inform Miss Luxie, Newsby, or someone else from the team. Communication is key, in all of these ways."

You nod once.

Cruxophim applauds you warmly.

Speaking softly to Cruxophim, Balley says, "Ok that is where I will put information if Zoso actually marries me,"

Balley giggles.

Cruxophim grins at Balley.

Zosopage stares upward.

Speaking warmly to Balley, Cruxophim muses, "Excellent."

Luxelle shifts her weight.

Cruxophim raises his voice in merry laughter.

Speaking seriously to Balley, you warn, "He'd better. I was promised... things."

You grin slowly at Balley.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Lylia says, "Thank you for that. And yes, if I am unreachable by other means, leave a note there outside my office. I shall read and reply as soon as possible."

You glance dubiously at Zosopage.

With deft motions, Lylia fans herself with her open black feather fan.

You nod approvingly at Lylia.

Zosopage mutters hotseat.

Cruxophim gives Lylia a strong, encouraging smile.

Lylia surveys the area.

Balley tickles Zosopage into laughing.

Xorus examines his fingernails.

You glance appraisingly around the room.

Speaking quietly to Xorus, Lylia says, "In case I did not mention it before, thank you for all your notes on epochxin. They clarified a great deal for me."

Xorus nods at Lylia.

Cruxophim nods in agreement at Lylia.

Question #2 and #3, From Severine, Answered By Lylia, Xorus, Cruxophim, Leafiara, Shinann: Identity Concerns About the Flesh Pillar / Malluch's Help?

You pleasantly ask, "Does anyone else have questions for the panel tonight? Anything at all regarding the Landing? Its allies, its enemies, its concerns?"

Severine raises her hand.

Luxelle nods at Severine.

You turn to face Severine.

Speaking amicably to Xorus, Cruxophim praises, "Remarkably thorough and well-researched, agree."

You give Severine a strong, encouraging smile.

Luxelle beams!

Lylia nods at Severine.

You nod at Luxelle.

Luxelle says, "Severine has the floor for the next question."

Luxelle nods at Severine.

Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Severine.

Severine softly says, "I'm not really sure who to direct this to - but I would like to know what is being done, if anything, in regard to the tower of burnt and mutilated bodies. The ones we discovered the night Malluch was captured."

Cruxophim nods grimly at Severine.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Xorus says, "I am working on a theoretical model unifying the range of cases, a hypothetical transformation catalyst that may or may not exist."

Luxelle's face turns slightly pale.

You nod faintly.

Cruxophim nods absently at Xorus.

Lylia nods in agreement at Ysharra. [appears to be a whispered exchange]

Severine glances around the room.

Lylia says, "Indeed. Our guard captains have investigated the remains and are working to notify the next of kin, where possible..."

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

Xorus says, "I would have thought the scavengers would have gotten to it by now. The Bleaklands must still be pulling in all of the vultures."

Cruxophim nods approvingly at Lylia.

Xorus says, "Sky burials are customary in some cultures."

Xorus shrugs.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Xorus!

Severine softly clarifies, "I meant, what is being done to locate whomever is responsible?"

Xorus says, "I would have expected missing person reports to come in if they were locals."

You ponder.

Lylia says, "It is a more delicate matter than simply 'pull it down and bury what is left.' There may be certain magical elements binding the array. The decay does seem to be slower than expected."

Lylia looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Cruxophim curiously inquires, "I'd be curious to know that as well. Any leads on the identities of the victims, or the perpetrators?"

Xorus says, "This leads me to suspect those white cloaked supporters were outside imports."

Lylia says, "And the search continues for any clues, but I must say that at this point, we have little solid ground on which to stand."

Lylia gives a sigh of regret.

Speaking absently to Xorus, Cruxophim speculates, "Not necessarily. Such things are often slow to disseminate around here, trust me.... I know from experience."

Cruxophim snickers.

Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "No doubt some of them were."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "Yet every time you're in the room, I smell rotting flesh."

Hapenlok holds up his hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

Lylia waves her open fan toward Hapenlok, wrapping him in a gentle breeze.

Cruxophim peers quizzically at Hapenlok.

You musingly say, "Some of them might have been outsiders, it's true, though we did hear some of our own citizens at Wayside vaguely threatening then-Mayor Crux and saying how they all had a little Rone in them..."

Hapenlok squints at Lylia.

You admit, "But that's completely circumstantial."

Speaking witheringly to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "Thanks."

Severine ponders.

Speaking amusedly to you, Cruxophim mutters, "Seems a poor choice of words, but..."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Lylia says, "If you dislike my perfume, you could always just say so."

Lylia smiles.

Hapenlok sniffs at Lylia.

With deft motions, Lylia fans herself with her open black feather fan.

You regretfully say, "I don't know if we have any leads on this, to be quite honest. No history even resonates with the pillar for a bard to look into..."

Speaking briskly to Cruxophim, you say, "Their words, not mine."

You chuckle.

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "Death. And cocoa. Do not really mix too well."

Cruxophim starts chuckling at you!

Shinann gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...

Shinann gestures.

Shadowthrall is discovered by Shinann!

Thrassus is discovered by Shinann!

You gaze in amusement at your surroundings.

Shinann clears her throat.

Marshal Meureii just arrived.

Cruxophim soberly admits, "I should not speak ill of the dead."

You peer quizzically at Meureii.

You grin at Meureii.

Severine bites her lip.

Lylia nods in greeting at Meureii.

Lylia smiles.

Cruxophim gazes heavenward.

Severine raises her hand.

Luxelle nods at Severine.

Speaking to Shinann, you venture, "No leads that you know of either? Or none that would be in our best interest to discuss publicly?"

Speaking witheringly to Hapenlok, Cruxophim states, "I will be right back."

Shinann says, "Not at this time."

Cruxophim just limped south.

Xorus says, "And those supposed victims of Cruxophim's appear to be lying. Yet you would not expect paid actors to stick so lastingly to it."

You nod gravely at Shinann.

You ruefully say, "Unfortunate."

You nod at Xorus.

Cruxophim just limped in.

Severine softly asks, "That night Malluch expressed confidence that he would be able to find those responsible. Would we consider welcoming his aid?"

Speaking to Xorus, Ysharra says, "Perhaps they've gotten some messages or bids to keep their course."

Ysharra folds her hands behind her back.

Lylia raises an eyebrow.

Speaking thoughtfully to Severine, Cruxophim reminds, "He did accuse Goblyn and I, but..."

Balley raises her hand.

Luxelle nods at Balley.

Speaking to Ysharra, Xorus says, "Some outside force supporting and supplying Malluch."

Ysharra nods slowly at Xorus.

Speaking wryly to Severine, Cruxophim assures, "That is not true."

You absently say, "Did he? I don't recall that."

Cruxophim nods at Xorus.

You admit, "Though he did claim you two were the worst, whatever that means."

Lylia says, "His aid? He is a murderer himself, having killed somewhere north of two dozen people. He is to be questioned, yes, but he is not going to aid us as an ally."

Speaking curiously to you, Cruxophim clarifies, "Are we speaking of the same thing?"

Lylia narrows her eyes.

Cruxophim nods firmly at Lylia.

Speaking to Cruxophim, you say, "I believe we are."

You ponder the meaning of Cruxophim's existence.

Lylia says, "What he knows, he will share. Not out of goodness and graciousness, nor for pats on the head and soft words."

Lylia scowls.

Speaking wryly to Lylia, Cruxophim reminds, "I'd be the first to argue for the power of redemption, but... he is dangerous."

Speaking indifferently to you, Cruxophim concludes, "Either way, he is wrong."

Lornieh says, "His way of thinking is skewed."

Speaking grimly to Lornieh, Cruxophim reminds, "As we've seen, his danger is not his presence, but his form as an ideal. A dangerous ideal."

Zosopage says, "Tis a shame that loresinging can't identify them."

Speaking to Cruxophim, you say, "Maybe we really aren't talking about the same thing. I'm saying it didn't come across to me that he thought you or Goblyn were responsible for the pillar."

Lornieh nods in agreement at Cruxophim.

You nod at Cruxophim.

Severine agrees with you.

Speaking softly to you, Severine agrees, "I didn't make that connection either."

Xorus says, "He might be willing to help track down the creator of the flesh pillar as a matter of vengeance. But it would have to be using his seer abilities from within his prison."

Speaking uncertainly to Zosopage, Cruxophim speculates, "Some things are too chaotic to hold memories of that nature. Just a guess, but I'd say by the number of bodies it's... unstable in that regard, perhaps."

You nod at Xorus.

Cruxophim looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Lylia nods once at Xorus.

Zosopage says, "True it would be rather jumbled."

Zosopage nods at Cruxophim.

Speaking to Xorus, you state, "A pragmatic thought."

Speaking amusedly to you, Cruxophim remarks, "Seemed that way to me, but... as I said, it isn't true either way, so it hardly matters."

Xorus says, "I would be reluctant to allow him to use magical objects from within his cell."

Ysharra says, "A very sturdy pillar of corpses. It was still there last I looked."

Ysharra glances west.

You nod grimly at Ysharra.

Lylia adds, "And consider this: Having been stripped of his equipment, Malluch Burdos is no longer the 'Rone' he once was. His knowledge is far more limited now, and so is his utility."

Lylia nods at Ysharra.

Ysharra removes a plush Rone Wehnimer doll from in her white wolf fur cloak.

Cruxophim nods at Lylia.

Ysharra gazes thoughtfully at her Wehnimer doll.

You gaze in amusement at Ysharra.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Ysharra!

Lylia wryly observes, "Yes. Whomever built it, built it well."

Ysharra chuckles.

Ysharra says, "Talinvor found this and thought it might prove amusing."

Speaking lightly to Luxelle, you request, "I believe we've pretty well exhausted this topic, at least for now... shall we move on?"

Ysharra gives her Wehnimer doll a warm hug.

Kipara asks, "Not to detract from the macabre conversation at hand, but do you think that expanding the tomes within the town library is feasible?"

Speaking fondly to Ysharra, you say, "Oh, he's right."

You chuckle.

[whispered OOC discussion about whether Malluch did or didn't accuse Crux and Goblyn of being responsible for the flesh pillar, with Leafi/Lylia/Xorus coming down on the side that he didn't]

Severine nods at Luxelle.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Kipara!

Kipara says, "I enjoy the selection, but I feel the selection is a little lacking."

Luxelle nods.

Luxelle says, "Remember, to join the question queue, you simply need to indicate it with a raise of your hand, and I will take notes."

Lylia nods at Kipara.

Kipara raises her hand.

Luxelle nods at Kipara.

Lylia simply says, "Yes. Expanding our library is a strong priority."

Question #4 and #5, From Balley, Answered By Shinann, Lylia, Leafiara, Xorus: Malluch Questioning / Darkness Around Us

Luxelle says, "Balley has the floor for the next question."

Luxelle nods at Balley.

You turn to face Balley.

Lylia smiles at Kipara.

You give Balley a strong, encouraging smile.

Cruxophim gives Lylia a strong, encouraging smile.

Kipara bows.

Balley softly says, "I have two questions if that is ok."

Roelaren smiles at Lylia.

Lylia says, "Of course."

Lylia smiles at Balley.

Lylia winks at Roelaren.

Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Balley.

Shinann smiles at Balley.

Balley softly asks, "The first one is to Shinann. I may have missed this earlier, but have we learned anything new from Malluch after he was convicted and sentenced?"

Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Shinann.

You take a moment to observe everything you can about Shinann.

Cruxophim whispers something to Balley.

Xorus grins at Ysharra.

Shinann says, "Not at this time. I did tell his father I would bring a letter to him, if he wished. That is all."

Balley softly says, "Ok I was just curious. My second question is open to anyone on the panel."

Lylia smiles quietly to herself.

[Luxie's spells melt]

Luxelle blushes a nice shade of light pink.

Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Balley.

You grin at Luxelle.

Cruxophim nods understandingly at Shinann.

Cruxophim wryly mutters, "I doused in perfume... you're all welcome."

Cruxophim collects a drop-shaped crimson garnet bottle bound in strands of mithril from a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.

Cruxophim pours a few drops of perfume from his crimson garnet bottle on himself.

Cruxophim plops a drop-shaped crimson garnet bottle bound in strands of mithril into a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.

Hapenlok quips, "Doesn't help."

Zosopage grins at Cruxophim.

Balley softly asks, "Over the past few days I have had a sense of darkness around us. I have heard footsteps in the wind. I have checked my Scrying bowl and the Sphere in Solhaven's Temple. I keep getting visions of a dark shadow like form of a man approaching. Has anyone else sensed or is there any word about a darkness around us?"

Speaking gently to Hapenlok, Cruxophim counters, "At least I don't need a stool for everything."

Cruxophim flashes Hapenlok a toothy grin.

Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Balley.

An expression of abject hatred crosses Hapenlok's face as he scrutinizes Cruxophim.

Xorus raises an eyebrow.

Luxelle shifts her weight.

Hapenlok asks, "When isn't some dark force around us, to be honest?"

You chortle at Hapenlok.

Shinann looks thoughtfully at Balley.

Speaking wryly to Hapenlok, Cruxophim admits, "True."

You concede, "He has a point."

Lylia says, "I have not consulted any seers about it, but...really, the sense of impending darkness is hard to dispel when we are so frequently beset."

Balley softly says, "True but I keep getting readings of a dark figure hovering."

Lylia looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Ysharra!

Balley softly says, "I am a seer."

Cruxophim nods in agreement at Lylia.

Ysharra rubs Cruxophim tenderly.

Speaking thoughtfully to Balley, Cruxophim requests, "Can you describe this further?"

Balley softly says, "I am officially a Seer of Sphere and Scythe."

Speaking slowly to Balley, Cruxophim prompts, "This... shadowy man?"

Balley softly says, "Yes I keep getting the same figure."

Xorus leans on his runestaff.

Raelee folds her arms over her chest.

Balley softly says, "A dark figure walking and approaching."

Xorus asks, "Is there anything specific about him?"

Balley softly says, "Hovering over my broken body."

Luxelle's face turns slightly pale.

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

Balley softly says, "In the darkness that fills me with horror and dread."

Balley softly says, "The feeling is getting stronger each day."

Xorus says, "Interesting."

Balley softly says, "I was just wondering if anyone else had heard or sensed anything."

Cruxophim furrows his brow, his face tensed in some inner conflict.

Shinann agrees with Xorus.

Cruxophim scowls.

Speaking to Xorus, Hapenlok whispers aloud, "....what did you do?"

Balley softly says, "I spoke to Stormyrain about this last eve."

Hapenlok grins at Xorus.

Speaking quietly to Balley, Lylia says, "These visions must be troubling for you. I am sorry to hear it."

Cruxophim nods slowly at Balley.

Speaking to Hapenlok, Xorus says, "It is probably not even me."

Cruxophim purses his lips, the dark spike within them appearing a bit more prominent.

Cruxophim appears consumed with inner conflict.

Hapenlok tosses a knowing glance toward Xorus, taps his nose, and then points at him.

Speaking quietly to Xorus, Hapenlok says, "...probably."

Speaking reassuringly to Balley, you say, "One of my friends said she was experiencing something like that several months ago, but nothing came of it that I know. Maybe it's only a vision of a possible future and not a certain one."

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Lylia!

Xorus says, "In the absence of specific information that might be more identifying, I would speculate it is a premonition of either Quinshon or Grishom Stone."

Balley softly says, "I hope I just have a feeling something is on the horizon and was wondering if anyone else sensed it.. The last time I sensed something we were attacked."

Lylia says, "Without further indications of who this shadowy figure might be, all any of us can do is take the usual precautions against threats. Still, when the threat is as inchoate as 'a shadowy figure,' it is hard to know how best to react."

Speaking absently to you, Cruxophim murmurs, "Visions are notoriously unreliable as constructs, given how subject to varied interpretation they are."

Xorus agrees with Lylia.

Raelee nods at Cruxophim.

Speaking offhandedly to Cruxophim, you say, "Aye, it could be only metaphorical too."

Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "Entirely possible."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "Yet, orphans still breathe because of one I received."

Hapenlok shrugs at Cruxophim.

Speaking to Balley, Lylia says, "Still, I hope you can tell us more, particularly if you sense anything more specific. Thank you for bringing it to my attention."

Lylia nods gratefully at Balley.

Balley softly says, "That is all I had.. I will have to keep listening to the wind and will let you know if I see or sense anything more or get more details."

Speaking gently to Balley, Cruxophim muses, "Isn't something always on the horizon, though? We shall handle any threat, as it is revealed. I have confidence in that."

Speaking sincerely to Balley, Lylia says, "Thank you for that."

Zosopage says, "And I'll listen to her talking in her sleep."

Speaking to Balley, Shinann says, "Not an answer, but a suggestion. Try not to be alone, if possible."

Zosopage nods.

Speaking nonchalantly to Hapenlok, Cruxophim reminds, "Not all of them."

Speaking encouragingly to Balley, you assure, "Regardless of details or specifics... there is -always- something on the horizon. And we will be ready."

You nod firmly at Cruxophim.

You add, "Or, if not ready... we'll -become- ready very quickly."

You narrow your eyes.

Balley softly says, "I will make him protect me."

Balley points at Zosopage.

Cruxophim dryly opines, "Visions can be as misleading as they are informative, in my estimation."

Shinann smiles at Balley.

Cruxophim looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Cruxophim nods in agreement to you.

You nod once at Cruxophim.

Lylia exhales the last of a virulent green mist.

Lylia clears her throat.

Shadows dance between Lylia's outstretched fingers as she issues a command in archaic Faendryl.

Lylia gestures.

A cankerous ripple of vesicles temporarily disfigures Lylia's face and travels down her body, leaving a sickly green miasma as it disappears.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "Rather confident boast. considering the lack of intelligence we have on either, and what they're prepared to do."

Hapenlok shrugs.

You nod at Luxelle.

Luxelle says, "Thank you Miss Balley."

Question #6, From Kipara, Answered By Lylia and Raelee: Translations for the Library

Luxelle says, "Kipara has the floor for the next question."

Luxelle nods at Kipara.

You turn to face Kipara.

Kipara stands up off the long wooden bench.

Kipara bows.

Kipara says, "Back to books."

Lylia grins at Xorus.

Lylia nods enthusiastically at Kipara!

Speaking dismissively to Hapenlok, Cruxophim chides, "Just because you'll believe any whisper on the wind, doesn't mean I will. It isn't 'confidence', I prefer evidence and hard facts."

Kipara says, "While I would love to see an increased diversity of literature in the library, I was also wondering if translations could also be provided? Many tomes are in a range of languages."

Cruxophim takes a drink from his blood wine.

Cruxophim nods slowly at Kipara.

Kipara says, "As the vast majority of citizens speak Common, I was hoping maybe some Common translations might be provided."

Shinann says, "Oh, I second that."

Speaking amicably to Kipara, Cruxophim opines, "I think that is a fine idea."

Speaking to Kipara, Ysharra says, "Perhaps some sophisticated enchantment upon the library's interior."

Kipara says, "I believe this would also contribute to a sense of community through diversity."

Speaking quietly to Ysharra, Meureii asks, "Or a scribe with a pen?"

You muse, "If I'm not mistaken, Goat has a talent in linguistics and translations, does he not?"

Meureii smiles quietly to himself.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Meureii!

Ysharra grins at Meureii.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "And I don't dismiss warnings blithely, unlike someone I won't name. And I was right about most of those, by the way. Spare me the condescension, and your patronizing tone."

Lylia says, "I would very much like to see translations offered. I should speak to Vynessa about hiring translators to start on this work. I may even turn my hand to it myself, in my spare time -- if I can ever find any."

Lylia smiles at Kipara.

Speaking amusedly to you, Cruxophim agrees, "Among others."

Speaking to Meureii, Ysharra says, "Be one talented scribe, considering the diversity in this room alone."

Cruxophim glances at Xorus.

You nod at Cruxophim.

Kipara says, "I wouldn't mind doing the writing myself so long as a native speaker could translate to me."

Speaking to Kipara, Lylia says, "Thank you for that suggestion."

Speaking quietly in Elven to herself, Raelee mutters, "... diversity comes in learning. Translations often lose the nuance of the original."

Lylia nods at Kipara.

Speaking calmly to Hapenlok, Cruxophim retorts, "Spare me your annoying prattle then, and don't act like you are correct more often than you are wrong."

Kipara bows.

Cruxophim takes a drink from his blood wine.

Cruxophim looks rather relaxed.

Kipara sits down on the long wooden bench.

Luxelle says, "If there are other questions, please raise your hand, my list is currently empty."

Speaking absently to Raelee, Cruxophim concedes, "True."

You rub your chin thoughtfully.

Speaking in Elven, Lylia says, "Indeed, some concepts cannot cross linguistic barriers at all, but the sense of the work usually remains even if nuances are lost. I can hardly disagree with the possibility of expanding and improving the library."

Hapenlok snickers at Cruxophim.

Speaking mildly to Hapenlok, Cruxophim concludes, "You're free to believe whatever you wish. As am I."

Speaking amicably to Lylia, Cruxophim agrees, "Seems a fine idea."

Zosopage says, "Speaking in one's own tongue in public does breed mistrust."

Zosopage shrugs.

Lylia mildly asks, "Does it now?"

Lylia says, "I find it useful to be able to put many people at ease by speaking their language whenever possible."

Lylia smiles.

Speaking in Elven, Eiliriel reminds, "Translating documents into other languages would also help others learn those original languages, if they wished."

Kipara says, "Fearing that someone is speaking ill because you don't understand them is also unhealthy."

Speaking to Zosopage, Raelee adds, "I was not speaking in my own tongue."

You lightly say, "In any case that was not even the Magister's 'tongue,' actually..."

You nod at Raelee.

Speaking playfully to Lylia, Cruxophim jests, "That's fine, as long as I can understand you."

Cruxophim flashes Lylia a toothy grin.

Cruxophim tosses a knowing glance toward Kipara, taps his nose, and then points at her.

Zosopage says, "Oh I know and understand that but there are many that do not trust."

Cruxophim nonchalantly jests, "It wasn't Faendryl, we're probably safe from venom."

Speaking in Halfling to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says something you don't understand.

Cruxophim snickers.

Lylia says, "And I am happy to translate for those who do not speak it. I replied to Raelee about the notion of translations losing nuance. It is unavoidable, and the aesthetics of certain poetic expressions may be lost, but I still think translations serve a useful purpose."

Lylia gazes in amusement at Cruxophim.

Speaking in Halfling to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says something you don't understand.

Hapenlok points at Cruxophim.

Speaking gently in Aelotian to Hapenlok, Cruxophim replies something you don't understand.

Hapenlok chuckles.

Cruxophim gives Hapenlok a strong, encouraging smile.

Lylia says, "I am well aware that people hear Faendryl and think 'plotting,' but half the time, we are discussing art or poetry."

Kipara says, "Zip wop zobbity doop."

Lylia waves her hand in a dismissive gesture.

Kipara nods sagely.

Cruxophim raises his voice at Lylia in merry laughter.

Speaking in Krolvin to Gorku, Meureii barks something you don't understand.

Cruxophim grins at Meureii.

Speaking to Lylia, Talinvor teases, "It's art and poetry *about* plotting."

Cruxophim agrees with Talinvor.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "I'd give you a bath, but I'm afraid the stream of water would knock more parts of you off."

Lylia replies, "I never said what the subject matter was, of course."

Lylia flashes a quick grin at Talinvor.

Melikor says, "There is an art to plotting."

You muse, "I don't see what it can hurt to have books translated, in any case. The ones most likely to read it are the ones most likely to ask further about any lost subtleties."

Lylia smiles at Melikor.

Kipara stands up off the long wooden bench.

Kipara rummages around in her pockets.

Speaking bemusedly to Talinvor, Cruxophim suggests, "Isn't all Faendryl art and poetry?"

Kipara strides away moving south.

Talinvor looks over at Cruxophim and shakes his head.

Hapenlok removes a n'ayanad crystal from in his dark leather cape.

Speaking to Hapenlok, Shinann says, "If you have a question, join the list. Otherwise, stop talking."

Hapenlok offers Cruxophim a n'ayanad crystal.

Cruxophim accepts Hapenlok's n'ayanad crystal.

Cruxophim peers quizzically at Hapenlok.

Shinann folds her arms over her chest.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Lylia asks, "If you are saying my very words are poetry, who am I to disagree with you?"

Cruxophim takes a drink from his blood wine.

Cruxophim looks rather relaxed.

Lylia grins at Cruxophim.

Firmly planting his feet equidistance apart, Hapenlok glances at Shinann as he folds his arms over his chest with an air of superiority.

Cruxophim flashes Lylia a toothy grin.

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "I just told someone I'd come listen to you recite your grocery list."

Speaking uncertainly to Hapenlok, Cruxophim ventures, "Why am I holding this?"

Ysharra winks at Lylia.

Cruxophim tilts his n'ayanad crystal side to side, making the light play off it.

Speaking to Lylia, Melikor says, "She did."

Lylia says, "To return to the subject of books, it is my fondest hope that one day, we can have a library with more contributions from our citizenry."

Lylia gazes fondly at Ysharra.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok whispers aloud, "...dunno, might come in handy later."

Cruxophim nods absently at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "Perhaps even a place to host readings and recitals."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok whispers aloud, "With that other matter we discussed."

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Hapenlok!

You mention, "Ord an Dragan has a small library with books written by some of our locals."

Cruxophim nods understandingly at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Lylia, Talinvor adds, "That we could have our own published, eii. It's been a long while for that."

You agree, "It would be good to see more of that."

Lylia says, "How charming. I shall fill my list with graceful words, then. Persimmons and pomegranates."

Cruxophim nods to you.

Zosopage says, "I had a few books but alas can only find one in my locker."

Raelee glances skeptically around the room.

Speaking loudly to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "But I can't talk anymore, someone might feel it necessary to give me an order again."

Cruxophim agrees with Yukito. [Yukito is a mute character, so this was likely an amunet exchange]

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "Three of my favorite things, the two fruits, and you."

Cruxophim raises his voice at Hapenlok in merry laughter.

Cruxophim nods understandingly at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim put a n'ayanad crystal in his small eldritch coffin.

Lylia begins chuckling at Ysharra!

Ysharra winks at Lylia.

Shinann examines her fingernails.

Speaking amicably to Lylia, Cruxophim offers, "I have a modest collection of some means, if it woud be of help."

Lylia mildly says, "Perhaps we could all have a bit of quiet and move on to the next question, if there is one."

Cruxophim collects an oily black leather tome from a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.

Raelee mutters under her breath.

Lylia glances at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim shows Lylia his black leather tome.

Xorus dryly says, "I will have to study Grishom's confiscated texts, those were still in the museum last I heard."

Cruxophim plops an oily black leather tome into a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.

Hapenlok murmurs, "It's not a town hall meeting without a little rabble rousing. But I've gotten it out of my system."

Hapenlok nods respectfully at Lylia.

Lylia smiles at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim nods at Xorus.

Speaking to Xorus, Ysharra says, "Hopefully they're written in Common."

You chuckle.

Speaking reluctantly to Hapenlok, you concede, "Well, you aren't wrong."

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok adds, "But only because YOU asked."

Speaking to Ysharra, Xorus says, "He writes in Faendryl sometimes. I will be lost."

Raelee clenches her jaw.

Ysharra chuckles to herself.

Cruxophim flashes a quick grin.

Ysharra smiles at Xorus.

Speaking to Hapenlok, Lylia says, "Then I am doubly appreciative."

Lylia gazes fondly at Hapenlok.

Question #7, From Hapenlok, Answered By Lylia, Xorus, Cruxophim: Temporal Distortions

You amicably ask, "Do we have any other questions this fine evening, dear audience?"

You glance appraisingly around the room.

Speaking amicably to Hapenlok, Cruxophim suggests, "Truce, then."

Cruxophim and Hapenlok shake hands.

Lylia smiles at Cruxophim.

Speaking to Cruxophim, Hapenlok says, "For now."

Cruxophim glances appraisingly around the room.

Speaking to Cruxophim, you whisper aloud, "I give it two nights."

You snicker.

Lylia quips, "If only I could achieve such a rapid meeting of the minds with those merchants."

Speaking to you, Hapenlok whispers aloud, "I give it until the meeting's over."

Speaking affably in Gnomish to you, Cruxophim admits something you don't understand.

You burst out in a sudden snort of laughter at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Hapenlok!

(Hapenlok didn't hear the last exchange.)

Speaking affably in Sylvankind to Cruxophim, you agree, "Indeed, indeed..."

You chortle.

Cruxophim flashes a quick grin at you.

You wink.

Hapenlok's eyes take on a glassy look as he appears to fall into a vivid daydream.

With deft motions, Lylia fans herself with her open black feather fan.

Cruxophim snaps his fingers.

Shadowy tendrils rise from the ground and wrap around Cruxophim's legs as they quickly engulf his entire body. The shadows quickly retreat back into the surroundings, leaving no trace of Cruxophim.

Hapenlok suddenly blinks and wakes up from his daydream.

Hapenlok raises his hand.

Luxelle nods at Hapenlok.

You grin at Hapenlok.

Luxelle nods.

Luxelle says, "Hapenlok has the floor for the next question."

Luxelle nods at Hapenlok.

Balley gazes into her silver scrying bowl, her expression growing blank and eyes unfocused. After a short while she blinks a few times and seems to be aware of her surroundings again.

Hapenlok nods at Luxelle.

You mention, "Final call for questions, since we're coming to the end of our time."

You grin.

Lylia nods at Hapenlok.

Balley softly says, "I just saw a dark panther ready to pounce."

Hapenlok says, "Well, i was wondering if the panelists in general would wish to discuss the recent temporal effects."

Balley shivers.

Shinann glances around the room.

Lylia gives Roelaren a lingering kiss on the cheek.

Roelaren hugs Lylia.

Hapenlok says, "And whether the public in general has something to fear, or is it truly and well contained."

Lylia hugs Roelaren, who wraps her in a warm embrace.

Shinann grins at Balley.

Balley blushes a nice shade of pink.

You explain, "Ah... that was some activity from the Chronomages, or so I've heard. Its effects were felt globally."

You admit, "But others here might have seen firsthand what happened."

Lylia says, "I did, as a matter of fact, at least in part."

You nod at Lylia.

Hapenlok says, "I, for one, did check on the Reach shortly after I experienced a time shift, and noted nothing amiss up there."

You tilt your head slightly toward Lylia, noting the subtle changes in her muscles and breathing.

Lylia says, "It appears the mages suffered a theft from their library."

Lylia removes an ancient cracked leather tome from in her wrap.

Lylia says, "Ah, no, not this one."

Lylia coughs.

Lylia put an ancient cracked leather tome in her wrap.

Hapenlok mutters diary.

Hapenlok snickers.

Cruxophim comes out of hiding.

Cruxophim leans softly against you, and you note the scent of dry olibanum, vetiver, and black moss over opoponax and hints of blood clinging to him.

Lylia lightly says, "That was a different theft from a different library."

You lean softly against Cruxophim.

Lylia removes a dark cerise book from in her wrap.

Cruxophim nods in agreement to you.

Xorus says, "I suspect Goblyn was somehow involved in what happened."

You cock your head.

Shinann looks thoughtfully at Xorus.

Xorus says, "The time warping effects of her workshop were spilling out across much of the continent before it became really severe."

Speaking wryly to Xorus, Cruxophim muses, "It's certainly possible, but I should be careful with such accusations. Goblyn is not an individual whose ire you want to draw."

Cruxophim laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement.

Hapenlok says, "You know, she does have some interesting sayings and theories regarding temporal phenomenon."

Hapenlok says, "And how I should learn to enjoy them more."

Hapenlok grins wryly.

You grin crookedly at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim nods absently at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Lylia, Zosopage says, "I found one of those as well."

Lylia says, "Those who stole from them shouted about 'free magic' and distributed copies of the book, or what purported to be this book. It turns out they were not the original, which was handed to Amexis, one of the time mages."

Zosopage taps a dark cerise book, which is in his right hand.

Lylia nods at Zosopage.

Lylia nods at Balley.

Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Lylia.

Lylia winks at Eiliriel.

Eiliriel chuckles.

Balley softly asks, "When did you get that dear?"

Cruxophim affably notes, "Interesting."

Lylia says, "It would appear that the trouble is over now that these mages have repaired whatever rifts the thieves created."

You nod approvingly.

Speaking curiously to Lylia, Cruxophim inquires, "What did the book pertain to?"

Lylia quietly looks over the outside of her dark cerise book and runs a finger along its spine.

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok asks, "So any further rifts are of our own doing, I'd take it?"

Xorus says, "I am not really accusing her of much of anything, except to say her time warps were conspicuously spilling out."

Speaking to Balley, Zosopage says, "The other night. It was on the ground in TSC. I believe I saw who put it there but I'd have to search my memories."

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Xorus!

Speaking nonchalantly to Xorus, you muse, "Accidents happen."

Lylia nods at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Hapenlok, Lylia says, "Just so."

Cruxophim raises his voice in merry laughter.

Cruxophim nods at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "Okay. That's very good to know. I'll still be monitoring the Reach, then. Just not as often as I was."

Hapenlok nods at Lylia.

Cruxophim thoughtfully notes, "Seems to have stabilized a bit... while I'm not sure, temporal magic is hardly an area of expertise for me, I'd guess we've seen the worst of it."

Xorus says, "It happens that when this time magic book was stolen, there were alterations in the way the Chronomage time tunnels work."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Lylia says, "Some mysteries of time and its control. I only got a glimpse of Amexis' copy. I tried to swap it, but...she was watchful."

Speaking to Balley, Zosopage says, "It was stolen on the 10th of Olaesta."

Xorus says, "It seems other transportation magics now interact with them."

Lylia nods in agreement at Xorus.

Cruxophim nods at Lylia.

Hapenlok brushes his fingers over the surface of his mosaic map brooch.

Cruxophim nods absently at Xorus.

Speaking affably to Xorus, Cruxophim notes, "Interesting."

Cruxophim takes a drink from his blood wine.

Cruxophim looks rather relaxed.

You nod in agreement at Xorus.

Xorus says, "Curiously enough, I suggested such a thing might happen, about two years ago."

Hapenlok whispers something to Lylia.

Xorus shrugs.

Lylia says, "Between the stolen books and the studies of epochxin, time is apparently of the essence."

Lylia nods at Hapenlok.

Xorus says, "Literally."

You grin slowly.

Hapenlok nods.

Cruxophim cocks his head at Xorus.

Lylia nods at Xorus.

Lylia smiles.

Raelee sighs.

Shinann nods.

Speaking silkily to Xorus, Cruxophim muses, "You, predict something? Surely not."

An aura of mischief slowly creeps into Cruxophim's mien as his lips form into a crooked smile. The smile continues to spread as it splits from ear-to-ear, rupturing his countenance into the shape of a tooth-filled lacerated grin.

Xorus smirks.

Hapenlok says, "Well, anyway. That's all I wanted to know, and that was directed to all the panelists, so if anyone else wishes to comment..."

Lylia grins at Cruxophim.

Lylia nods at Hapenlok.

Hapenlok says, "I should have specified."

You ask, "Indeed--any last comments, then, panelists? Before we conclude the evening?"

You carefully survey your surroundings.

Hapenlok says, "Little less rabble roused, and some serious questions from me."

Speaking to Lylia, Zosopage asks, "Whom should I give this to?"

You grin at Hapenlok.

Cruxophim begins chuckling at Hapenlok!

Lylia says, "I would keep it as a memento, personally."

Shinann chuckles to herself.

Lylia smiles at Zosopage.

Cruxophim agrees with Lylia.

Zosopage nods.

Zosopage smiles.

Zosopage put a dark cerise book in his black leather pack.

Cruxophim amicably muses, "Freedom of information is a good thing, I don't see the harm."

Lylia flashes a quick grin at Eiliriel.

Eiliriel gazes in amusement at Lylia.

Cruxophim kisses Eiliriel tenderly on the cheek.

Lylia put a dark cerise book in her wrap.

Wrapping Up... and a Change Next Month?

You mention, "Usually people begin leaving as soon as I say our time is up, so tonight I'll mention -first- that our next Town Hall meeting will be only four nights away on the 19th!"

You add, "It will also be our final meeting of the month."

Eiliriel asks, "Does that not seem awfully soon?"

Speaking amusedly to you, Cruxophim ventures, "So soon? We've barely had time to conspi-- I mean, prepare."

Cruxophim flashes a quick grin at you.

You admit, "It is, but the remainder of the month is expected to be very busy..."

With a graceful economy of movement, Lylia folds a shadowy black feather fan neatly closed.

Lylia asks, "Is it?"

Speaking disapprovingly to you, Cruxophim jests, "These newsworthy catastrophes don't make themselves, you know."

Hapenlok says, "Well, have a good evening all."

Eiliriel suggests, "Perhaps two meetings a month would be better then?"

Cruxophim flashes you a toothy grin.

You vaguely explain, "Rumblings of some trips and vacations that adventurers might be occupied with..." [AKA we're not competing with the Rings of Lumnis event which runs from the 20th to 29th]

Xorus says, "We will have to devote it all to the subject of blood marble."

Cruxophim turns toward Hapenlok and renders a painful hand salute.

Lylia bows to Hapenlok.

Luxelle exclaims, "It gives everyone days to think of interesting things!"

You grin crookedly at Xorus.

Cruxophim laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement from you.

Hapenlok says, "I have some work to perform."

Lylia gazes in amusement at Xorus.

Hapenlok glances at his goblin skin badge.

Cruxophim nods approvingly at Xorus.

Hapenlok says, "Of that persuasion tonight."

Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "If you are going to accurse me, Xorus, choose a more engaging fate."

Speaking softly to Shinann, Balley says, "I will let you know if I get more details on the visions. The ones today seem to still be very dark."

Speaking to Balley, Shinann says, "Please do."

Speaking thoughtfully to Balley, Cruxophim requests, "I should be curious to know any updates, as well?"

Shinann nods at Balley.

You admit, "Events have been somewhat slow around the Landing the last couple of months. Two meetings a month would have been enough recently, but in more chaotic times--"

You rub your chin thoughtfully.

Speaking to Lylia, Xorus says, "Of all the blood curses I have studied of late, I was not aware the blood marble itself was one of them."

You relent, "Well, I'll discuss it with the TownCrier, at least--moving back to twice a month." [or more accurately cutting back, since it had always been three times]

You nod at Eiliriel.

Lylia firmly says, "It is."

Lylia nods at Xorus.

Speaking softly to Shinann, Balley says, "The same dark man keeps appearing. I have to research to see if I can figure out who it could be."

Speaking grimly to Lylia, Cruxophim states, "It sometimes heard to make soft noises upon the wind, almost like a sigh."

Cruxophim nods slowly at Balley.

Shinann nods at Balley.

Xorus asks, "Does the man have any features about him? The shadows behaving in any particular way?"

Balley softly says, "I will keep my bodyguard at my side."

You recite:

"In any case, tonight's meeting has concluded! On behalf of the TownCrier, we thank everyone for coming out tonight."

Balley points at Zosopage.

Lylia nods at Cruxophim.

Cruxophim applauds warmly.

Shinann smiles.

Speaking to Luxelle, Lylia says, "Thank you, as ever, for hosting."

Lylia gives Luxelle a friendly hug.

Cruxophim gives Balley a lingering kiss on the cheek.

Balley hugs Cruxophim, who wraps her in a warm embrace.

You recite:

"The meeting on the 19th was already scheduled, so we will hold it--and perhaps move to two monthly meetings beginning next month."

You nod once.

Cruxophim amicably wishes, "Enjoy the remainder of your evening, all."

(Lylia gives Luxelle an affectionate squeeze.)

Speaking to Cruxophim, Zosopage says, "I'm the meat shield."

Balley nods.

Cruxophim flashes Zosopage a toothy grin.

Balley softly says, "Your job."

Eiliriel absently says, "If you'll all excuse me anyway."

Cruxophim laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement.

Cruxophim turns to Eiliriel and bows low, spreading his wings for all to see.

Lylia kisses Eiliriel tenderly on the cheek.

The voice of Hapenlok says, "Eh."

You recite:

"Many of our audience and panelists may stay for further discussion--or may not! It is all up to you."

Eiliriel kisses Lylia tenderly on the cheek.

Cruxophim kisses Eiliriel tenderly on the cheek.

You flash a wide grin.

Eiliriel kisses Cruxophim on the cheek.

You curtsy gracefully.

The voice of Hapenlok says, "Everyone tread carefully."

The voice of Hapenlok says, "Jeril is in the taproom."

Speaking to Luxelle, you praise, "Another excellent job tonight!"

You give Luxelle a friendly hug.

The voice of Hapenlok says, "You have been warned."

You hear someone giggling.
