After doing some alteration in Platinum, I think I need to put a little information up to help ease the alteration process for those that at least read the forums. Let me just say, they have a small chance to fire off the ambient messaging roughly every 6 minutes. There is a good chance you might not see them go off at all in a day. Items with no flares, weighting, sighting, padding, defender, blessing, edging, or TD bonus do not do any ambient messaging. You can bless or guiding light flares (or minor edge a 0x weapon) to cause them to be ambient though. All flare types have several generic messagings programmed into them. Padding, weighting, and sighting do not, and will ONLY go off when you get a custom ambient setting done.
When you do get a custom ambient messaging setting done, it does not nullify the programmed in ones, so it will do those and your custom one. These are suppose to be magical cantrips, illusions, and images that your items "cause." They do not cause permanent things to happen. Armor concealers may not work friendly with them, I didn't test that a heck of a lot. You can PROD your item to turn it on and off, in terms of ambient messaging. ANALYZE has a lot of this information built in. When altering the custom settings (RUB, CLENCH, and ambient), treat the alteration like you would getting an EzScript. You write the first and third person messaging. If you can only produce one (1st or 3rd) at the time of alteration, don't worry, I'll assist you. You may only get one custom setting done per alteration session, unless I work through the line another time (you know the drill). I'm also very open to working with you on these.

Just want to help clear up some confusion about how the ambient portion of this script works.
If your item doesn't have any special properties, it will never be ambient. If your item is blessed, edged (not ebladed), or has guiding light flares, it will be ambient until those wear off. If your item is padded, weighted, sighted, or defender, it will not be ambient UNLESS you get a custom one done. If your item has flares or a TD bonus, it will be ambient.
You can PROD your item at any time to turn it on or off. It has only a small chance to be ambient once every ten or so minutes. Each flare type has about 4 default ambient mood messagings. If you get a custom one done, it will have a chance to fire off, as well as the default ones, if it has any. Bless, edge, and guiding lights have ambient as well, which can be applied to your blessible or 0x items with this script.
ANALYZE has a bit of information to help you alter them. Hopefully this can help with further questions.
Dyhne won't be around till sometime next week. He probably will only show up one or two more times total.
