Boredom Jewelry is lightly scripted fluff jewelry sold at Sorcerial Sartorial. Some of the messaging varies depending on whether or not it is worn and whether or not the player is holding additional items. Notably, the messaging does not always reference the item.

Analyze

You analyze your hexagram earring and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
You carefully look over the hexagram earring and realize that while worn or held it will enable you to display boredom with your circumstances.
NOTE: The earring may not be evident in everything you do with it. You may even resort to fiddling with whatever you're holding rather than the earring itself.

If you were to play with the earring, then you'd find that you can analyze, clean, clench, pull, push, tilt, and turn it.

SCRIPT NAME: Boredom Jewelry

You get no sense of whether or not the earring may be further lightened.

Usage

Style First Third
ANALYZE Analyze messaging. XXX glances briefly at his hexagram earring.
CLEAN (worn) In an effort to fight off boredom, you consider polishing your earring but realize that to manage it while you're wearing it really won't work very well. None.
CLEAN (held) In an effort to fight off boredom, you consider polishing your earring but realize that to manage it while you're wearing it really won't work very well. XXX glances about, then sighs resignedly before distractedly polishing his earring.
CLENCH (worn) Bored almost to tears, you consider examining your earring but realize that's not very feasible while wearing it. None.
CLENCH (held) You manage to stifle a yawn, then lift your hexagram earring for an up close examination. It's something to do. XXX stifles a yawn, then lifts his hexagram earring and engages in an overly deliberate examination of it.
PULL (worn with empty hands) You resort to a meticulous examination of your fingernails and cuticles in order to milk some small value from the passage of time. XXX exhales softly while turning his attention to the maintenance of his fingernails and cuticles.
PULL (held or worn with something in hand) As your patience begins to wane, you resort to drumming your fingers against your staff. His patience appearing to wear thin, XXX resorts to drumming his fingers against his staff.
PUSH At a loss for anything worthwhile to focus your attention on, you let your gaze wander heavenward in the hope of discovering anything that might stave off utter boredom. Apparently unable to find anything worth focusing his attention on, XXX lets his gaze wander heavenward, as if searching for anything of even marginal interest.
TILT You let your chin drop and tilt your head to one side in an attempt to signal that your patience is being tested, without wasting words. XXX's chin drops and his head tilts to the side. It appears the situation is beginning to wear on him, and he's biting his tongue.
TILT (held & both hands full) At your wit's end, you set to work carefully estimating the relative weights of the staff in your right hand and the earring in your left, as if the fate of the world depends upon the outcome. Gazing first upon the note in his right hand and then upon the earring in his left, the intensity of XXX's scrutiny and the hefting of each in turn attests to the profound nature of some eventual determination.
TURN (worn) Unwilling to continue validating the present situation with your gaze, you stare fixedly at the ground and exhale nasally. XXX stares distractedly at the ground and exhales through his nose.
TURN (held) Unwilling to continue validating the present situation with your gaze, you stare at your hexagram earring and exhale nasally. XXX stares distractedly at his hexagram earring and exhales through his nose.
