Uploaded Images

Hi there! Thank you for your MANY updates to the wiki, especially your relentless efforts to chronicle the ongoing events in the Icemule Trace region. I'm reaching out to you regarding two things.

First, while I was looking at your recent uploads to the wiki, linked from Opalina (prime) ("Opalina.png", "Opalina outside.png", "Opalina fighting.png", "OpalnFalvicar4.png", "Sloop.png", and "Brig.png") and this page, User talk:TUMARA ("Opalina writing desk.png"), I noticed that none of the images include information about the original source or that permission was granted to use them. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. Additionally, if the image was created with AI artwork software, you will also need to note what program was used (Midjourney, etc.). If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated.

Second, I've noticed that you use your user talk page (this page) a bit atypically compared to most other wiki contributors. Generally speaking, the user talk page is designed to facilitate communication between wiki contributors through the wiki itself, or communication between users and mods. Anyone editing your user talk page will cause a banner to display at the top of the wiki until you view it. Looking at everything else on your user talk page, I actually recommend moving all of the contents to your user page, User:TUMARA, which is currently blank. That would allow other users or mods such as myself to contact you if the need arises without modifying the important information you have archived on this page. If you need assistance in moving it over, I would be happy to help with that. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:07, 1 December 2022 (CST)

Pictures and moves

Thank you for your support and keeping me on the right path here on this Wiki I love participating and want to ensure Im always doing it correctly. I wasn't sure about the AI part I hope the way I changed them will work? I look forward to feed back on that. I was able to move everything to the other page I believe as well. that seemed relatively painless. Hopefully I didn't mess that up. Do I need to re-upload the pictures so they have notes directly on them? TUMARA (talk) 12:17, 11 December 2022 (CST)

Hi again! I'm responding to the edit that you did on my user page asking about uploaded logs.
All of your many logs uploaded to the wiki are outstanding, and I sincerely appreciate the effort you put forth with them. I have moved a couple of logs to "rename" them according to the style guide (more information is available here), but each time I've done so, it's been for very minor stuff. Per the current style guide standard, log page titles should be in the format of:
* [Storyline or Event Title, if applicable] - [Date] - [Title of Log, if applicable] (log)
* For example: Blood Son - 2020-01-01 - Excitement in Wehnimer's Landing (log)
This naming format helps logs to appear properly in various categories. I have also added Category:Logs to a couple of yours that were missing it. This makes sure that they are populated correctly in that category so everyone can easily find them if they do not have a direct link. Both of these are incredibly minor edits that are easily overlooked, so please don't be alarmed if I make changes like them to your logs.
Thank you for all of the updates you made to the images! They're all very lovely and I really enjoyed viewing them. I would recommend only adding one thing, and that is noting that you are the person who created them via Midjourney. You can reference yourself as your character, your account, or even just something as simple as, "AI art generated by me using Midjourney.com", so that it is clear that you are the creator behind them. None of the images need to be uploaded again, having the credit information on them as you did is more than enough.
I hope that what I shared about the difference between user pages and user talk pages made sense to you. Ultimately how you use your user talk page is up to you - I mostly didn't want to get your amazing record of information lost amid questions from mods or another user wanting to say thank you for doing such a great job with them. Also, just in case you ever need to do so, you can automatically "sign" anything you put on the wiki (which is very useful for user talk pages) with ~~~~ at the very end, which is how I added my "signature" to this comment. Thanks again for all of your help with making the wiki so great! If you ever have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me or another mod, or to ask in the #wiki-talk channel on the official Discord server. Thank you so much it's so neat to learn more and more about how to build in this wiki.TUMARA (talk) 08:29, 12 December 2022 (CST)

Images at Risk for Deletion

Hi there, TUMARA. I am reaching out to you about three images that you previously uploaded to the wiki. GSwiki now has a new policy for all images uploaded to it that is a little more detailed than the last time we communicated. Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about that policy and the requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. You have been really helpful in the past about making sure that your images always meet policy, which is greatly appreciated. I am flagging a few images generated by other players using AI art software. While it's fine to upload images created by someone else, you will have to note specifically if permission was granted by them to upload them to the wiki. Can you please confirm that for these three images:

  • File:Falkissingopal.png - The caption notes that Falvicar's player generated this image via AI art software. I did see that it was added by his player to his wiki article. Can you confirm that his player granted permission to upload it?
  • File:Falkissingopaltoon.png - The caption notes that Falvicar's player generated this image via AI art software. I did see that it was added by his player to his wiki article. Can you confirm that his player granted permission to upload it?
  • File:Redheaded Halfling.png - The caption notes that Aliashyrah's player generated this image. Can you confirm that her player granted permission to upload it?

If that information is not added within 7 days, these images will be deleted from the wiki. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone [forum's wiki thread]. I did do a quick look back through all of your uploaded images, and everything else is in compliance with the current policy based on information that you had previously provided, so this should hopefully be the last time I reach out to you about older images like this. Thank you for your help and understanding. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:09, 24 August 2023 (CDT)

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! I will take care of it right away.````
