Icemule Trace Defenses

There are four towers at each corner of the town. These are maintained and stocked by the Icemule Town Guard.

There are walls surrounding the entire city with gates at the north, west, south, and east. Each gate is guarded by a Town Guard. Recently the walls were fortified with a magic spell to help strengthen them.

The walls are always requiring cleaning of ice patches to maintain safe passage.

Aerial Attack

Aerial attack areas will have a window, opening, or railing that you can PEER, FIRE ranged weapons or bolt spells, and CAST through at enemies below. You cannot target specific creatures and many spells may not work. These are usually safe areas from which lower level characters can participate in invasion defense. It's important to note that skill with ranged weapons is not required to use these, although skill may improve accuracy and deadliness.

  1. PEER through the window/portal to see if there are creatures below.
  2. If using a ranged weapon, FIRE <portal type>.
  3. If using a bolt spell, prep your spell and CAST <portal type>.

Use caution, as it is possible to strike friendly characters.

Trebuchet

There are bins that hold granite stones that can be used with the trebuchets to help fend off attacks from the walls.

Trebuchet Operation Instructions

  1. . LOOK TREBUCHET to see if loaded.
  2. . Load the trebuchet: GET STONE, LOAD TREBUCHET
  3. . PEER TREBUCHET to see direction
  4. . TURN TREBUCHET {compass direction} to aim different directions
  5. . FIRE TREBUCHET

Map of Outer Walls

The Outer Walls may be accessed by the stairs just inside of the North Gate, or via the Barbican Towers located just inside of the East, West, and South gates. You will need to use ropes to climb down to the walls from the Barbican Towers.

Safe Zones

There is a safe room within the Town Hall for women, children, and the elderly to take shelter away from wars. Food and supplies are stocked by the Icemule Town Council.
