Clockwork Globes were created in 2001 by GMs Mitra and Krilcan and were updated in 2024 by GM Xynwen for release at the 2024 Premium Festival. There are 7 types of globes (General, Elanthia, Liabo, Lornon, Tilaok, Makiri, and Celestial) and two tiers.

Tier 1

OTS/Tier 1 globes have access to four verbs.

Analyze

You analyze the dark ruby globe and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

~*~ Clockwork Globes ~*~

Created in 2001 by GMs Krilcan and Mitra, a shadowed dark ruby globe traced with hints of gold is a clockwork/mechanical globe. It may be altered, but there are very specific requirements, so please be familiar with them. It is Tier 2 of 2.

Verb Traps:
  * Tier 1: poke, pull, push, and rub
  * Tier 2: fidget, lick, tickle, and turn

Alteration Guidelines:
  * Any willing merchant may alter this, but unlocks require special permissions. Cannot change type.
  * In addition to the base 15/15/15, this item may have a long and/or show. All normal ALTER rules apply.
  * Each globe has its own hard-coded SHOW that prepends when you LOOK at the item, so do not contradict it.
  * The noun must remain globe, and do not reference the stand in a long.
  * There is a small button on the stand, and inner clockwork is mentioned in verb messagings.
  * The globe and stand material customizations may have to be done at the same time if the requested service references them in some way.
  * Stand Material Custom: the adjective(s) that comes before the word 'stand.' It must be a type of material able to hold a globe. It can be preceded by something descriptive as well (ex. pearl-inlaid mahogany).
  * Globe Material Custom: the type of material, can have a modifier (ex. silver-sparked lapis).

Specific Requirements by Globe Type:
  * Tilaok: Red material, carved slightly to reflect a gentle terrain
