Platinum migration/Guide for moving character pages

A Short Guide to Page moving:

This guide is to help move your Platinum Character page to a new Prime page. This process will preserve all pages which are connected to the character, and save any edit history.

Step 1 : login to the wiki

Step 2 : navigate to the character page

Step 3 : next to the search bar you will see a tab for "more", click that and you will find "move". Click "move"

Step 4 : when the new page loads you will find a few fields you need to fill out.

Step 4 a : New title should be (Main), then rename the old page to the new page name, most commonly this is done by changing (platinum) to (prime). However if you had to change names, you would use newnamehere (prime).

Step 4 b : Reason: Moving page due to Platinum Migration. (<--I use this, but any reason can be entered)

Step 4c : Move associated talk page <--this should be checked in order to move the discussions tab history

Step 4d : Move subpages <--this should be checked if you have any subpages attached to the main page. You will find a list of Subpages at the bottom of the page

Step 4e : Watch source page and target page <--personally I check this so I can track things via watchlist

Step 5 : Move page <--Click this link to finalize the changes. Make sure you verify all information before moving

Step 6 : remember to check your character profile template and change the Instance from Platinum to Prime.
