Vibrantly inked postcards engulf the walls of the small shop, the gaps between the city-painted sheets of parchment occupied by a cluster of silk-padded pedestals draped in lattices of kelp. A trail of bright orange and blue starfish is suspended from the lantern-illuminated ceiling, the kaleidoscopic sculptures displayed above an oversized velvet-lined clamshell propped up on a stand of sanded driftwood.

In the velvet-lined clamshell you see: a pearl-washed pale bamboo nib, a spear-tipped ghostwood nib, a red-veined sable marble nib, a textured bone white coral nib, a silver kraken-tangled nib, a dark shark tooth-carved nib, a thorn-carved ebony nib, a signet-set vert faenor nib, a gilt-dipped smoky vaelfyren nib, and a sun-bleached driftwood nib.
