Basilican Guard

The Basilican Guard is the unit of elite Faendryl warriors specifically tasked with defending the Basilica and its presiding Patriarch. In the Modern Era they are only a palatine guard. In the distant past the Palestra were part of the Basilican Guard, but are now split off as a separate institution with their own Arch Chancellor, with much broader involvement throughout the Faendryl political economy.
