The Leatherworking Tool is a fluff crafting script that applies to miscellaneous items, and is part of the Cobbling items family of scripts. It was originally released at Ebon Gate 2022. The following facets are able to be customized by a merchant: print settings. It is used in the cobbling system to embellish cobbling material uppers for use in cobbled footwear. It applies an embossed design to leather uppers. There is also an unlock that cuts Snap-on Soles out of the leather.

You analyze the metal-clad box and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

The leatherworking tool will allow you to put a leather cobbling upper inside and choose a design to be applied to it via TURN.
- TURN - To cycle through options or turn to a specific number.
- GAZE - see all default and custom options.
- PUSH to transfer the design onto the upper.
Your leatherworking tool has the Snap-On Soles unlock.
- FLIP the tool to toggle between imprinting cobbling uppers or punching out soles.
- TURN the tool to the plain option to use the existing cobbling upper's description.
Your leatherworking tool has the Patterns unlock. This gives you greater control over your printed pattern.
- PONDER - Cycle through the available unlocked design styles.
- WHISPER - Select one of the unlocked design styles. Syntax is WHISPER MY leatherworking tool {design}.
- ATTEND - Cycle through the available imprint styles.
** Alterations **
- The leatherworking tool can be altered by any merchant, but it should remain some sort of box that has mechanical parts.
- Cobbling merchants can add up to 3 custom tool settings that will transfer to the adjective field of the cobbling upper. Each setting cannot exceed 15 characters and must indicate that the design is tooled, embossed, carved, or similar.

The leatherworking tool currently has 15 charges. Cobbling merchants can recharge the tool (max is 50 charges). Alternatively, you can LOAD an adequately valued sapphire (500+ silvers) into your leatherworking tool to add a charge. It could be made permanent at a PERM-ifier.

An unlock is available that allows a user to choose a design via the WHISPER verb and an imprint method via the ATTEND.

Note: Both the cobbling upper and the sole are limited to 15 characters, so not all designs and imprint methods will be viable.
Snap-on Soles unlock
A certificate is available to unlock the ability to make Snap-on Soles instead of alter a leather upper. FLIP will toggle whether the upper is stamped or a pair of soles is made.
