| Though plain on the outside, just inside the door, the atmosphere changes to one of luxury and richness. Thick indigo velvet curtains hide both walls and windows, with balenite and veniom thread stitching picking out a swirling celestial pattern. Dispelling the dim lighting, candles rest on chain-linked sconces suspended from the rafters, their heat blooming the scent of drying herbs tied into bundles. Off in the corner sits a narrow refreshment cart. You also see a large ebonwood sign with bold silver lettering, an old battered haon display and a small oval dark thanot table. | |
