You analyze the wooden ball and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
            ---- WerePuppy Toy ----
      ---- General Script Information ----
This is a toy that is well suited to a WerePuppy, either yours or someone else's!
PLAY with a puppy with this toy in either hand.
This toy can have a different description when covered in saliva or ectoplasm after being played with.
CLEAN the toy to remove the saliva/ectoplasm and get it back to new.
You can do the following with this toy: CLEAN, WAVE (targeted/untargeted), TOSS/THROW, EAT.
      ---- Alteration Guidelines ----
    * Alterations to the 15/15/15, long and show are fine.
    * This toy can have separate descriptions for both clean and dirty states.
    * When changing the 'dirty' description, keep in mind you can include a placeholder to insert the substance the toy is coated in (either saliva or ectoplasm).
    * Any merchant should be able to change the type of toy, as well, to match the description.
IE, changing a ball to be a rope.
      ---- Current Settings ----
This toy is setup to be a ball.
NOTE: Balls should be assumed to be made out of twine/rope, wood, bone, layered fabric, etc.
Rubber does not exist in Elanthia.
NOTE: Possible types of toys include balls, tug ropes, stuffed toys or bones/antlers.
    Clean 15/15/15: a sturdy,wooden,ball

    Dirty 15/15/15: a sturdy,wooden,ball
Dirty Long Description: a sturdy wooden ball wrapped in (saliva/ectoplasm)-soaked strips of green linen

You get no sense of whether or not the ball may be further lightened.

Usage Information

WerePuppy toys come in four types: balls, tug ropes, stuffed toys, and bones/antlers. Some messaging changes based on the type. After a WerePuppy plays with the toy, it becomes covered in saliva (ectoplasm for ghost puppies, sooty saliva for fire puppies) and uses its "dirty" description until it is cleaned or the coating dries up after about 10 minutes. When dirty, several verbs add a mention of the coating.

The toy must be held for all verbs. PLAY is a WerePuppy verb, so its messaging comes from the puppy.

Additional Information

Taxidermy Kit Toys

Stuffed WerePuppy toys can be made with a Taxidermy Kit that has the WerePuppy Toy Unlock. Each one uses a charge of stuffing. The kit creates a stuffed-type toy named after the creature remnant, with matching clean and dirty long descriptions:

  • Short description: a stuffed toy <creature noun> (ex. a stuffed toy daggerbeak)
  • Clean long description: <article> stuffed toy <remnant noun> (ex. a feathery stuffed toy daggerbeak)
  • Dirty long description: <article> saliva-soaked stuffed toy <creature noun> (ex. a feathery saliva-soaked stuffed toy daggerbeak)

The article and post-noun description come from the kit's PEDAL and TWIST settings. With the Creature Noun Unlock, FLIP can use a saved creature noun instead.

Restrictions

  • Alterations to the 15/15/15, long, and show are fine, with separate clean and dirty descriptions.
  • Balls should be made of twine/rope, wood, bone, layered fabric, and the like. Rubber does not exist in Elanthia.
  • Bones/antlers should be clean bone with no meat left on them.
