Javelin

The javelin is a lightweight pole arm that resembles a pike, however it tends to be a bit shorter and is sometimes thrown. It is wielded one-handed and has damage potential equal to that of the spear. Since it will only inflict puncture critical damage it is a poor weapon choice when engaging puncture resistant targets.
