The deringo is a tall and bushy tree growing in some of the southern regions of the Elanthian continent. It is often found flourishing amongst other hardwoods like oak, ash and maple. Despite not being a very magical wood, deringo is quite popular due to its availability. Autumn displays the deringo tree at its most extravagant - an explosion of vivid yellow-gold foliage starkly edged in black.
