The APPRAISE verb has many uses which may aid those who inhabit Elanthia. Appraising gems and skins may reveal their quality and/or value when held in the right hand. 25 ranks in Trading is required to receive detailed messaging. Rangers receive 1/4 their level in free Trading ranks when appraising skins.
Empaths may APPRAISE a player or APPRAISE GROUP, to see and better manage their wounds.
Clerics and Paladins, may APPRAISE a symbol to determine if it is a valid holy symbol.
In town shops and at Merchant shops, APPRAISE will tell how much an item costs.
On creatures, APPRAISE will tell indicate the level of an opponent in relation to the character.
